Kate's uncle Gary lets slip future plans on Prince Harry rejoining Royal Family
Just three nights in, Celebrity Big Brother contestant Gary Goldsmith has already been very vocal about the Royal Family.
In last night's episode, the Princess of Wales' uncle opened up about the weight on Prince William's shoulders - navigating the pressures of royal duties alone whilst caring for his unwell wife and father. In a heart-to-heart with Fern Britton, Gary discussed the possibility of Prince Harry rejoining the family - which he claims has always been an option.
Talking at the dinner table, TV presenter Fern quizzed the 58-year-old millionaire, younger brother of Carole Middleton, about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. He admitted he had never met Meghan Markle and that it is now "unlikely." "I've been quite vocal about her," Gary smirked.
When Fern suggested William must be "furious" to be suddenly left with huge responsibilities alone, Gary responded: "His father, wife, brother, whilst they're trying to reshape the royal family and modernise it. He has done an amazing job in that horrible situation."
He added: "He's always had an olive branch open every time for Harry to come back and be part of the gang... desperately feel that that's the case." Fern, appearing frustrated, replied: "For a father to see two beloved sons waring that way is heartbreaking".

Gary then brutally suggested: "I genuinely think they should take the titles away," which left Fern in disdain. His comments come after a similar conversation on Tuesday night, where he said Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could not "throw [their] family under a bus in such a dramatic style, and then write books about it and expect to be invited round for Christmas."
He was referring to the multiple TV interviews the couple have done since stepping back and Prince Harry's bombshell memoir Spare. Explaining the family dynamic, Gary claimed: "I have the opinion that Harry was really, really, really loved, massively loved, and when they were a threesome - Kate, William and Harry - were really comfortable together, loved.

While speaking to fellow housemate Sharon Osbourne, he revealed he believes Harry will make a return. "I think it's really sad. At some point, I think he's going to come back and be part of the gang – he might need to. I think we're a very forgiving nation, I think everyone would give him a chance."
Harry and Meghan took a step back from royal life in 2020, stunning the world. But last month, the couple unveiled their brand new website, with their royal titles featuring prominently on the platform. They changed from archewell.com to sussex.com, with visitors being welcomed to the "Office of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex".
Amid the news of King Charles' cancer diagnosis, Harry rushed back to the UK and despite the last-minute nature of the trip, managed to squeeze in a visit with his father before the monarch headed to Sandringham to rest before regular treatments for the disease. Speaking to Good Morning America, Harry said it was 'possible' after being questioned whether or not his father's health crisis could have a "reunifying" effect on his relationship with the other royals.
Reports in The Times claimed that sources close to the Duke of Sussex had said he would be willing to temporarily help out with royal duties while the Windsors find themselves short of hands, with Kate also off-duty until at least Easter as she recovers from what Kensington Palace called a "planned abdominal surgery". The Princess was seen for the first time since her procedure on Monday, out driving near her Adelaide Cottage with her mum, Carole Middleton. Before entering the CBB house, Gary is said to have been "read the riot act" by his sister.
Gary insisted he didn't need to get the Princess' permission to be on the reality ITV show. He explained: "No, I don't need to do that. Me being on the show has not been a topic for debate. I love my family, they can trust me that it's all going to be okay. My heart's in the right place with the family.
"I genuinely love them and respect what they do. I’m a royalist deep down. All my friends are massive Republicans. I'm a Chelsea fan, they're all Spurs fans. But we love each other. You are allowed to have different opinions and if people choose to think I don't deserve to be there or I shouldn't be there or there are better people that could have been there, I love you for your opinion."
