Gary Goldsmith 'black sheep of family' as he mentions Kate Middleton again
Celebrity Big Brother star Gary Goldsmith claimed he's the 'black sheep of the family' as he, once again, brought up his niece Kate Middleton during a conversation.
The businessman, who joined the likes of Sharon Osbourne, Louis Walsh and Colson Smith in the Big Brother house, is the uncle of the Princess of Wales and has already discussed the royal family several times during his two days on the show - which returned to screens earlier this week.
He hasn't been shy about voicing his strong opinions on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. He has also been candid about the internal feuds within the Royal Family while singing his praises about Kate. In a sneak peek at tonight's action, Sharon is asked to make her decision after placing reality star David Potts, Gary and YouTube star Zeze Millz in the danger zone.
Big Brother tells Sharon: “It’s now time to decide which one of these Housemates will face the public vote which could lead to their eviction from the Celebrity Big Brother house. Sharon, please give the name of the housemate who will receive your nomination.” Sharon replies: “The Housemate that I nominate is Gary."
Before picking the celebrity, David, Gary and Zeze discuss how they feel about being in the firing line. Gary admits: "It does bother me what the public perception of me is. The black sheep of the family. I’m a normal bloke. It just so happens that my niece married Will."
TOWIE's Chloe Brockett makes cheeky dig at Saffron Lempriere during filmingDuring last night's show, Gary spoke about his royal relatives and their relationship with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Gary revealed his opinion on the Prince and Princess of Wales and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex: "So I have an opinion that Harry was really, really really loved and when they were a threesome, so Kate, William and Harry they got really comfortable together, and then suddenly there’s an extra dynamic that comes in, puts a stick in the spokes and creates so much drama that I don’t genuinely think is there, and rewrites the history, saying they’re unhappy with us and I just don’t think that’s fair.
"I mean you can’t throw your family under the bus in such a dramatic style, then write books about it and expect to be invited round for Christmas." He then asked Sharon about the American opinion of Harry and Meghan, to which she added: "In the beginning, they were very very well received. They don’t understand it, but they do love it, you know? But it’s dwindling, dwindling, dwindling and there’s been some deals that they have done that haven’t worked well."
Celebrity Big Brother continues tonight at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
