Gary Goldsmith is at risk of being the first to leave the Celebrity Big Brother house after a nomination twist.

Sharon Osbourne was asked to name three people at risk of leaving the show in the first eviction this Friday night, before the three people could plead their case to her. With the help of Louis, Sharon picked Zeze Millz, David Potts and Gary to be at risk and tonight, it was confirmed that Sharon has decided to give Gary her killer nomination and thus put him at risk.

It means Gary - who is the uncle of the Princess of Wales - will definitely be up for the public vote this Friday alongside other names, but those have yet to be confirmed. Sharon is only expected to stay in the house for a few days as she's a 'lodger' rather than a fully fledged housemate but some of the other 11 stars are likely to be at risk.

Ahead of his stint on the show, Gary opened up about why he signed up for the show and detailed his plan for his time in the house.

Speaking to The Mirror about his chances of winning, he shared: "If you’re going to play Monopoly you don’t try and be first out there. So if you’re going to go and do it, try and win. But I haven’t got a game plan, I don’t really agree with that sort of concept. I just want to see what happens. Turning 50 I decided that I’m going to say no to pretty much nothing these days and just enjoy life to the full. I’m not actually a celebrity, it just happens that I am related to one of the biggest. I just thought it’d be a hoot! Also, I think I’m portrayed as this sort of villain character and I’m not. So it’d be nice to show the other side of Mr GG."

Elsewhere tonight, Gary spoke about his royal relatives and their relationship with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

Speaking on tonight's show, Gary revealed his opinion on the Prince and Princess of Wales and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex: "So I have an opinion that Harry was really, really really loved and when they were a threesome, so Kate, William and Harry they got really comfortable together, and then suddenly there’s an extra dynamic that comes in, puts a stick in the spokes and creates so much drama that I don’t genuinely think is there, and rewrites the history, saying they’re unhappy with us and I just don’t think that’s fair.

" mean you can’t throw your family under the bus in such a dramatic style, then write books about it and expect to be invited round for Christmas." He then asked Sharon Osbourne on the American opinion of Harry and Meghan, to which she added: "In the beginning, they were very very well received. They don’t understand it, but they do love it, you know? But it’s dwindling, dwindling, dwindling and there’s been some deals that they have done that haven’t worked well."
