Premier League legend Thierry Henry was asked where Jamie Carragher would fit in his dream team on Monday night, and delivered three brutal words most footballers dread to hear.

The duo were on punditry duties for Arsenal's 6-0 win over Sheffield United on Monday night. Mikel Arteta's side delivered a comfortable victory with goals from Martin Odegaard, Kai Havertz, Gabriel Martinelli, Declan Rice and Ben White in addition to an own goal from the Blades.

While France under-21 boss Henry delivered incisive analysis on the action of his former side, in addition to the past weekend's Manchester derby, he was also asked to deliver his dream team. Few would have expected Carragher to make such an XI, not even the former Liverpool star.

That did not prevent the Monday Night Football regular being targeted by presenter Dave Jones. The host ensured Henry was in position to deliver a jibe to the ex-central defender.

As the broadcast neared its end, Henry lamented he wished he could have chosen more players. The Arsenal icon said: "I wish we had the other team, so we could've done more!'

That saw Jones remak: "I wanted to know where you were putting Jamie in that team." Henry swiftly replied: "On the bench!"

The trio burst into laughter to end the show with, Jones adding a final comment. He said: "I thought that's why you played five at the back, to get him in."

Carragher's feelings did not appear to be too hurt however as he took to X to comment on the quality of Henry's punditry. The 46-year-old believes his French counterpart delivered one of the best shows of the season.

He said: "One of my favourite MNF’s of the season that! Thierry Henry’s analysis was a master class for the viewers including me!!"

Henry's analysis saw him agreed with Carrager that Arsenal have one of the best defences in Europe. However, he highlighted a caveat to that statement to deliver a warning for the Gunners.

"One of the things you need to do as a coach is see the team that you have," he said, "Mikel Arteta wants to play high and I think Arsenal are at their best when they are like that.

"Players like Saliba, like Gabriel - an outstanding partnership - benefit from the way Arsenal play. But like a lot of teams that play high, they are not used to defending their box at times, or defending crosses. I see at times that we can be a tiny bit suspect when we have to do that."

"Every time we are in those situations, we don't often defend the ball well," he added.

"Full credit for not being in those positions. That is why a lot of teams don't get a lot of shots. But when we have to defend our box, we suffer at times."
