EastEnders fans rumble Whitney Dean's exit storyline in huge Sonia twist
EastEnders fans have worked out how Whitney Dean will make her exit from the Square - in a huge Sonia Fowler twist.
Whitney was hit by a car at the end of a shocking episode, which saw Patsy Palmer make her return as Bianca Jackson. Whitney and Zack travelled back to be with Bianca in Milton Keynes, where they ended up meeting a young girl called Britney, who was being neglected by her mum, who was too busy and focused on her drug addiction than to be there for a daughter.
Whitney found the young teen searching through the bins for food and took it upon herself to look after the young girl. When there was a big confrontation between Whitney and Bianca and the girl's mum, Britney ran away and into the path of a moving car, leading Whitney to step in and push her to safety, meaning she got hit herself and was left lying unconscious on the road.
Viewers are now convinced they've worked out an exit storyline for Whitney and it involves Sonia Fowler, who also came to visit them in Milton Keynes in this episode. One fan wrote: "Definitely getting the vibe that the baby will survive somehow and Sonia will adopt it, was very random of all the Sonia talk and then she suddenly pops up out of nowhere," whilst a second added: "I think Whitney will go into a coma and Sonia will have her baby otherwise I don't get Sonia being part of this storyline."
We know that Whitney star Shona McGarty will be departing her role but we are yet to know how it will pan out. Speaking about her decision to leave last year, she said: "It wasn’t an easy decision because I've made so many friends. I’ve seen people come and go, and meanwhile, Whitney has been one of the longest-standing characters.
EastEnders' Jake Wood's snap of son has fans pointing out the pair's likeness"I've had so much fun and done so many storylines, some of which have been sensitive, and I've been honoured to be trusted with such heavy stuff year after year. So I'm going to be sad to say goodbye to my friends and family, but it was the right decision for me as I want to do other things. After 15 years, I’ve had a pretty good run!"
Discussing her exit, she added: "I have decided to spread my wings and will be leaving EastEnders. I have loved my years in the show. I have been trusted with some incredible storylines and have made amazing friendships — and family — which will endure."
