Celebrity Big Brother star claims show bosses freely let her break biggest rule
Gobby Celebrity Big Brother star Jemma Lucy claims producers freely allowed her to break the show's no1 rule - not leaving the compound.
The reality personality, who infamously got into heated spats with late Girls Aloud star Sarah Harding and Paul Danan on the programme, says she was allowed to walk around outside for five minutes after throwing herself down the stairs in protest. She says her mega tantrum was never shown during her 2017 appearance and got her way after kicking off in the diary room.
The 35-year-old says she started to lose the plot and threatened to quit if Big Brother didn't let her see that the outside world "still existed" after being inside the house for weeks. Jemma, who finished sixth seven years ago, says she lost it after being told no and tried to hurt herself. The show returns on ITV1 tonight with the line up featuring some big names.
She says bosses then relented and let her go out the main doors for a few minutes just to see there was life outside the house after caving in to her odd demand. She said: “They said no initially, they wouldn’t let me and I just remember throwing myself downstairs on purpose - they were wooden stairs, not carpeted or anything, so I really hurt my back and I just was causing a scene.

TOWIE's Chloe Brockett makes cheeky dig at Saffron Lempriere during filmingSpeaking to The Sun, she added:“After that, they were like: ‘Alright, you can go outside for 5 minutes with the security guard.’ So they let me go outside and walk around the house within the studio complex. I didn’t see any production staff or members of the public, it was just so I could see that the outside word was still there. I am so grateful to the producers, as it got me through the last week.”
Jemma, who was slammed for taking stabs at Sarah's career when they were in the house together, is far from shy when it comes to controversy. Having been embroiled in public feuds and garnering a reputation for sharing shocking images and content on social media, she has run into trouble with a number of celebs. The star has frequently clashed with Ex on the Beach star Charlotte Crosby having both shared the same boyfriends in the past - with Twitter arguments reaching desperate lows when Jem made comments about Charlotte’s ectopic pregnancy.
Last year, a video emerges of her ‘snorting white powder’ off a female friend’s bottom. The controversial reality star allegedly wanted more ‘gear’ in video seemingly recorded in a night club cleaning cupboard. The shocking video has made front page news of the Daily Star on Sunday and allegedly features Jemma snorting the substance and then declare: “Wait, that’s not enough gear”.
A source said: “Jemma’s not one to shy away from a bit of fun. She’s seen stumbling out of nightclubs most weekends in barely-there outfits and she’s flashed a bag of white powder on her Snapchat, but this tape takes it to a new level. "Who knows who the other girl is but Jemma’s more interested in the gear. It’s the opposite of the ‘real her’ Jemma was hoping to show in the house.”
