Katie Piper has landed a huge new ITV deal making her the channel’s new "Queen of the Weekend”.

Her morning show is now going to be on both Saturday and Sunday mornings in a massive shake-up. The new run of Katie Piper’s Breakfast Show - which will now be on its third series - will stretch to a massive 22 episodes across the two days.

A source said: “It’s a massive show of confidence in Katie to not only recommission her show but to literally double it across the entire weekend. It’s little wonder she is being called the new Queen of the Weekend on the channel. Bosses have been delighted by the audience's reaction and Katie is fast becoming one of ITV’s most loved presenters.”

Amanda Ross, Executive Producer and CEO of Cactus, which make the show, said: “I’m delighted ITV have given us the chance to produce a third series with Katie Piper, this time across the whole weekend, recognising the success of her Sunday shows last year. We will be able to showcase more of a range of Katie’s talents as Saturday and Sunday mornings will have a distinctly different vibe.”

The double dose of Katie is not the only change at the broadcaster this year. Brand new to the network is Jimmy and Shivi's Farmhouse Breakfast, hosted by Jimmy Doherty and Shivi Ramotaur.

The duo will provide viewers with a show packed with food, family and lifestyle from the barn on Jimmy’s thriving family farm in the Suffolk countryside.

Also brand new is The Chris McCausland Show - a chat show format hosted by the comedian on Saturday mornings. The new shows come as part of a re-jig of the weekend schedule which has seen Laura Whitmore and Oti Mabuse’s shows make way. The duo are highly rated and still work for ITV on other shows. All series will broadcast later in 2024.

Katie Rawcliffe, Head of Entertainment Commissioning at ITV, said: “Our new weekend morning line ups on ITV provide a mix of brand new formats and talent, plus a returning favourite. Away from the studio, Jimmy and Shivi’s Farmhouse Breakfast will provide a wholesome start to your weekend mornings; we’re excited to welcome the funny talents of Chris McCausland with his brand new chat show; and we’re delighted to welcome back Katie Piper now across both Saturday and Sunday mornings. Your weekends start with us on ITV.”
