Jorginho could depart Arsenal this summer with his contract at the Emirates winding down.

The Italian will be a free agent once the season ends and that could see the curtain come down on his 18-month stint in north London. Jorginho moved from Chelsea in January last year and has remained part of Mikel Arteta's plans.

The 32-year-old underlined his quality recently with stellar displays in wins over Liverpool and Newcastle United. The Standard reports that a host of top Italian clubs are monitoring the Euro 2020 winner with Juventus, Lazio and former club Napoli all keeping tabs.

His agent, Joao Santos, has also opened the door to a possible exit as he told TV Play in Italy: "He'd suit Lazio more, for the presence of coach [Maurizio] Sarri who already knows his characteristics very well. But also Juve, who have a great director of sport like Cristiano Giuntoli, who he spent many years with at Napoli. I would not rule out a return to Napoli with new coach [Francesco] Calzona, who used to work with Sarri before that."

A move to Lazio would allow Jorginho to reunite with Sarri, who allowed him to play arguably the best football of his career at Napoli. Those performances convinced Chelsea to spend big on the Italian when they hired Sarri in the summer of 2018.

Arsenal are looking to sit down with the Italian midfielder though as they seek to find an agreement. Declan Rice has become a mainstay in the middle of the park but Jorginho has often played alongside him with Arteta still juggling his options.

The Gunners boss said recently: "I’m really happy with him that’s all I can say. When we imagined what he could bring to the team, he’s doing exactly that and maybe even better.

"The contract situation is more for Edu and the board to manage. But his implication and his capacity to affect big matches is great."

Jorginho himself claims he's given little thought to his next move as he remains focused on matters on the pitch: “I don’t know, I am trying to enjoy the moment, to be honest. We haven’t spoken about it [my contract] and I just want to win games with Arsenal.”
