Katie Price's mum rushed to hospital after scary ultrasound accident
Katie Price's mum has been rushed to hospital amid her terminal lung disease diagnosis.
Amy was taken to hospital last week after discovering a burst cyst. However, Katie has since talked about the situation and said that her mum is fine now after the situation.
The 71-year-old was diagnosed with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF), a terminal lung disease with a life expectancy of three to five years in 2017. She then underwent a lung transplant in November 2022 but has since said her health is still "up and down".
Katie's sister Sophie explained that she had to take their mum Amy to A&E when they found out she had a burst cyst.

Sophie added: "I had to take mum to A&E. The hospital were really good actually, we went to Medway hospital. Took mum up to A&E because she had a burst cyst, I think it was, but she is all fine.
"She had an ultra-sound the other week and they burst it basically by accident. So we spent about six hours at A&E."
The Sun reported that Amy previously said that after being given a transplant, she felt that she was in her "final year".
She said: "I gradually got worse and in 2022 I knew that was my last year because of the symptoms I had with the IPF.
"I could hardly breathe, walking was difficult, I was on oxygen more or less 24 hours [a day]. When I was offered a transplant I just jumped at it."
Katie has opened up in that past about being scared to lose her mum. She said: "My mum is my absolute rock, my absolute best friend. To be told she’s got an incurable breathing disease breaks my heart. Sadly, she hasn’t got long left to live."
This comes as Katie recently went public with her new boyfriend - Married At First Sight's JJ Slater. The pair sparked rumours of a romance when they were papped on quad bikes in Bulgaria and, now, Katie has gone Instagram official with the reality TV star, 33, revealing her new man "ticks every box".
Katie and JJ were first seen looking cosy at Bobby's Bar in Newcastle in Febriary before they decided to jet off to Bulgaria for a skiing holiday.
They appeared extremely loved-up on the slopes prompting Katie's Instagram post, which confirmed it was on between the pair. Addressing the rumours, she wrote: "They say things happen for a reason , the unexpected happened . Fate . Ticks every box . @johnjoeslater you have proved to me you are a real gentleman and completely except [sic] me for me ."
