Fuming Gibbs-White uses Liverpool to 'prove' Man Utd goal shouldn't have stood
Nottingham Forest star Morgan Gibbs-White furiously hit out after seeing his side lose to Manchester United in the FA Cup.
Gibbs-White played all 90 minutes for Forest as they hosted the Red Devils in the fifth-round clash at the City Ground. He was on the pitch when Casemiro headed in a last-minute winner for the visitors following a free-kick from Bruno Fernandes.
After the goal, the game was held up for a long period as VAR Darren Bond checked for an offside. Bond ultimately told referee Chris Kavanagh to award the goal, with United progressing to the quarter-finals.
Gibbs-White has been left angry though, with the midfielder feeling it should have been ruled out. The Englishman posted a photo on Instagram comparing Casemiro's goal, with Virgil van Dijk's header in the Carabao Cup final which was ruled out for offside.
Van Dijk's goal was disallowed as Wataru Endo had been in an offside position before blocking Levi Colwill from challenging for the ball. Gibbs-White posted a split image, with a United player circled as he blocked a Forest defender while in an offside position.

The decision to rule out Van Dijk's goal left Liverpool fans furious and many onlookers confused. But former top referee Mike Dean backed the decision, with his comments appearing to suggest Casemiro's goal should not have stood.
"The only thing I've got an issue with is that Endo may well have blocked the player that may well have been coming back with Van Dijk on the edge of the area. That's the only thing I can think they are looking at," Dean told Sky Sports.
"Endo is watching the defender and stopping him from getting back into a position to make a challenge on Van Dijk. Where the ball's drop-in zone is, that's where Colwill would have been, and that is why the goal has been chalked off. It's subjective offside."

But Forest boss Nuno Espirito Santo was keen to quickly move on, despite Gibbs-White's anger.
"[Disappointing] for all of us, for our fans, for us as a team. We played good. We had good situations and we're disappointed to lose at the end. Not too many differences. Both teams had chances, both teams were organised. It was a good game," he told BBC Sport.
"This was a competition we had expectations. Now is not the moment to regret it. The boys gave everything and they played good football. They [VAR] were checking a possible offside from the block. It's over. We had so many situations with Brentford and VAR.
"Let's forget about it and focus on what we can control. We have to keep on going. We have to improve a lot of things. We played good today. We defended well. We were organised. We fought. We all had the dream for the FA Cup. Now it’s over. We’ll try again next time."
