DP World Tour star Eddie Pepperell has reignited his feud with LIV Golf after slamming both Talor Gooch and Anthony Kim 'f****** idiots' in a furious outburst on social media.

Gooch and Kim in particular have been in the limelight this week as the breakaway league heads to Saudi Arabia for event three of the campaign. Despite the likes of Brooks Koepka and Jon Rahm taking part, all eyes will be on Kim, who is making his first competitive start in 12 years after going into golfing exile.

Marking his return, the former PGA Tour star - who last teed it up at the 2012 Wells Fargo Championship - took to social media to post a video announcing shock move to LIV, and in it hit back at his so-called "haters".

Gooch, meanwhile, began his week by venting his frustrations with the Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR), with the breakaway league yet to acquire OWGR points for its events, ensuring the league's representation at this year's Masters is limited. Amid the ranking snub, the American believes that if PGA Tour star Rory McIlroy was finally able to win the green jacket in April, it would come with an 'asterisk' due to the lack of LIV players involved.

“If Rory Mcllroy goes and completes his Grand Slam without some of the best players in the world, there's just going to be an asterisk,” Gooch told Australian Golf Digest. “It's just the reality. I think everybody wins whenever the majors figure out a way to get the best players in the world there.”

One man who was left unimpressed with both Gooch and Kim, was long-time LIV critic, Pepperell, who took to social media to slam his fellow players. "Within two days, one LIV golfer suggests Rory winning the Grand Slam in April should come with an asterisk," he tweeted.

"And another player, idolised and mythologised by so many, returns to pro golf by joining LIV and remarks that he's somehow "hated".. Honestly, these f****** idiots." Despite the Englishman's criticism of Kim, there is no doubt there is excitement building around this week's LIV event thanks to the 38-year-old's return.

Kim had become golf's forgotten man following his 12-year hiatus, having previously announced himself as one of the PGA Tour's hottest prospects in the late 2000's. Over a decade on though, the American has now aligned his loyalties with the breakaway league, it is keen to make up for lost time.

"It’s been a long time coming," Kim said on Wednesday. "And I’m very grateful for all the highs, lows and lessons learned from the first part of my career. I want to compete with the best players in the world, and I’m on a mission to prove to myself that I can win again. The next step on that journey starts now, and I’m excited to give everything I’ve got this season on the LIV Golf League.”
