Ben Affleck shares nickname J.Lo's friends gave him after reading secret letters
In Jennifer Lopez's new documentary, The Greatest Love Story Never Told, Ben Affleck revealed the hilarious nickname J. Lo's friends gave him after the singer shared secret love letters he's written to her over the years.
In the new film, Jennifer shared that she had kept a memory book overflowing with romantic, handwritten love letters from her longtime lover Ben, whom she first dated back in the early noughties.
Jennifer treasured the letters, showing them off to her employees and pals, so they could share the same vision she did for her new album.
During a confessional, Ben recalled a time he visited Jennifer's studio and said: "My book that I had given her was down there. She's like 'I've been reading it to people. This is kind of the inspiration and I've been showing them the book.' I was like you've been showing all the musicians all those letters... and they were like 'Yeah we call you Pen Affleck.' And I was like 'oh my god.'"

Jennifer said the inspiration for her new album was the love letters Ben wrote her (Amazon Prime)Jennifer Lopez's new documentary, which is airing exclusively on Amazon Prime, sees J.Lo give viewers an insight into many aspects of her relationship with Ben Affleck.
It comes hot on the heels of Jennifer's This Is Me... Now (A Love Story) "cinematic odyssey", to mark the release of her new album of the same name. It is a sequel to her hugely popular 2002 album, This Is Me...Then. The record came out at the height of Ben and Jen's relationship the first time around.
It wasn't to be though for Ben and Jen and they split in January 2004, blaming intense media scrutiny of their relationship. They then reconciled nearly two decades later, and tied the knot in July 2022.
Jennifer and Ben are enjoying their first year as a married couple (Amazon Prime)Speaking about Ben to US Weekly back in 2002, Jen said of Ben: "I'd probably say that he is brilliantly smart, loving, charming, affectionate. And I just admire him in every way. I respect him. I feel like he teaches me things".
When asked if he had any regrets about their relationship the first time around, Ben shared he regretted his role in the Jenny From The Block music video, which famously saw the pair canoodling aboard a yacht.
