Former Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton was caught up in a huge brawl during his 7v7 event.

A video that has since gone viral shows the ex-NFL star trying to stop a fight at the event. Things got worse when someone from the TSP [Top Shelf Performance] team, who were taking part in Newton's tournament, appeared to sucker-punch Newton out of nowhere. This led to Newton having to protect himself against several people.

During the fight, a man dressed in black tried to jump on Newton's back. At the same time, another person in a white shirt punched someone else in the crowd. Newton then had to defend himself against three different men. He grabbed the first man by his backpack and threw him across the ground. He then grabbed another person by their hoodie and pulled them out of the way.

Newton then pushed two more people away as security staff rushed in to stop the fight. The reason for the fight at the tournament is still a mystery and the local police in Atlanta have yet to release a statement.

Viewers of the footage were mostly shocked, but some wondered how Newton could fight off so many people without getting hurt and keeping his hat on the whole time.

One person said: "Cam Newton took one dude & tossed him off stage, then proceeded to put one dude in a bear hug while grabbing another by the dreads & slung him like a kid all while his hat never came off his head. Stop thinking y'all can put hands on pro athletes."

Someone else answered: "Cam just casually dragging around the one guy like a football." Continuing the hat's theme, a Newton supporter wrote: "All that, and his hat never even fell off."

Newton was the first pick in the 2011 NFL Draft, chosen by the Carolina Panthers. He made a big splash right away, breaking records for new players and winning the AP NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year award.

While he was with the Panthers, everyone knew Newton for his exciting playing style . He could throw the ball far and run fast. His way of playing changed how people looked for new players in his position, leading to amazing players like Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson.

Newton, a three-time Pro Bowl player in 2011, 2013, and 2015, had his best NFL season in 2015. He led the Panthers to an impressive 15-1 record and a Super Bowl 50 appearance. That year, he was named the NFL MVP and Offensive Player of the Year. Newton has expressed his desire to return to the NFL as a starting QB.
