Apprentice star Lottie Lion has revealed that she is suffering from a rare heart condition that could be fatal.

Lottie, 24, had just landed in Australia when she suddenly collapsed and was rushed to hospital where she was resuscitated. Lottie made a name for herself while on the BBC show back in 2019 and confidently stated: "I bring ‘class’ to everything and ensure nothing I do is half-standard or tacky."

Doctors discovered that she has Wolff Parkinson-White which means her heart beats at an abnormally fast heartbeat. Lottie's heartbeat soared to more than 200 beats per minute instead of between 60 and 100.

However, usually the condition is treatable but the former librarian was also diagnosed with a second diagnosis of an abnormal heart rhythm.

And so now, she had been told that she is medically unfit to return to the UK and has to stay in Australia where she will take three months worth of medication before a second heart operation.

Sadly, if that operation is unsuccessful, Lottie is at risk of a heart attack or a stroke. Speaking to The Sun from Sydney: "I was on a walk and felt extremely dizzy and was having heart palpitations. The next thing I knew I woke up in an ambulance."

Before her flight to Australia, Lottie was in Bali where she experienced heart palpations. She added: "I was putting it down to anxiety, so I ignored it. This is going to be life-changing for me, as I usually live an extremely active lifestyle attending the gym every day."

She continued: "I am on strict instructions having to take four different medications three times a day until I am able to have my second heart surgery. I’m also not considered ‘fit to fly’ so I am stranded in Australia. The next surgery involves trying to cauterise the abnormal circuits in my heart, but in a more invasive procedure with a two-month recovery period."

Lottie's father Dominique also suffered from the genetic condition and Lottie states the diagnosis has left her frustrated as it now means that her once active lifestyle is no longer. In her interview, she said she took it for granted how active she was and loved her lifestyle and now she's unable to do that.

The star is currently with her New Zealand business owner boyfriend Lewis Holder, who took a picture of her in the hospital. The reality TV star once said that her time on the Apprentice seriously impacted her mental health to the point where she started to think that she didn't want to "carry on" anymore.

The former candidate was introduced as a librarian and her business plan was for a private members club in the countryside. Although she made it to the final five, Lord Alan Sugar did not chose her to be the winner.

Lottie reached the gruelling interview stage of the competition but was fired soon after. During her time on the show she won one task as a project manager. Lottie appeared on the show alongside the Ryan-Mark Parsons and Thomas Skinner. The series that featured the three candidates was won by artisan bakery owner Carina Lepore, who won an investment from Lord Sugar after competing in the final against Scarlett Allen-Horton.
