A Neighbours star has been hailed for her age-defying looks as she stepped out into the spotlight since quitting the famous Aussie show.

Natalie Bassingthwaighte, who played Izzy Hoyland on the show, stunned fans with her youthful appearance after taking to social media to show off her incredible red-carpet look. The actress posted a series of images on her Instagram after performing at her first-ever Mardi Gras Debutante Ball this week. Natalie, 48, looked sensational in a bright red gown and statement red lipstick as she posed for pictures at the event on Thursday.

Taking to her Instagram account, which has over 21. K followers, she wrote: "An incredible night at the Mardi Gras Debutante Ball by @johnniewalker last night! I loved meeting all the other First Timers and sharing this special moment with them and many other from the queer community #Ad. Definitely felt the love in the room and had a ball performing for such a warm and welcoming crowd. @kinselas @sydneymardigras."

Her fans quickly praised her look, with one person writing: "You are just beautiful, inside & out." Another person penned: "Joyous beauty." Meanwhile a third person chimed in: "Looking gorgeous."

Born and raised in New South Wales, Australia, the soap star began her career in musical theatre before pursuing an acting career in the late 90s. She made guest appearances in several TV shows, however, Natalie's big break came when she landed the role of Izzy Hoyland on Neighbours in 2003.

However, three years later, Natalie quit the show to focus on her music career. Thankfully, it wasn't her final ever appearance on our screens, as she returned to the set to reprise her role in February 2018, and was again back for the final episodes of the series in 2022.

But fans were shocked to see that Natalie hadn't aged a day after making a comeback to the show. After leaving the soap, she made her stage debut as the lead singer of the band Rogue Traders and has made a name for herself as a successful solo artist.

In her personal life, the actress was married drummer Cameron McGlinchey, whom she shares two children with, daughter Harper, 13, and son Hendrix, 10. But now Natalie is in a committed and happy relationship with a female partner. She is currently dating stage manager Pip Loth, with the couple having now dated for the last few months.

Confirming their relationship on Instagram, she said: "Appreciation post for the most incredible woman who is not only giving me strength, support, love and immense joy, but is teaching me to understand and accept that I am deserving of these things and have them within myself too. She's teaching me to breathe deeply, to trust and to be my truest self. I am so incredibly lucky and overwhelmingly grateful for you."
