Greggs launches 'unreal' burgers - but fans moan they 'can't find them anywhere'
The nation's favourite bakery chain is shaking things up as it launches two new burgers - but not everyone is happy.
Famed for its crumbly sausage rolls and glazed doughnuts, Greggs is giving its rivals something to worry about with its latest menu revamp. Among the new additions is the Mayo Crispy Chicken Burger, featuring chicken breast in a crispy coating, iceberg lettuce, and mayonnaise.
Then there's the Spicy Crispy Chicken Burger, providing a bit of a kick in the form of chipotle mayo and jalapeño peppers. Other releases include a Classic Mayo Chicken Wrap, Hot & Spicy Wrap, and Sweet Chilli Wrap.
Both burgers are priced at £3.90 - and customers can add a drink and wedges for an extra £1.10. Greggs fans first went wild for the new menu items, with hundreds of social media users branding them 'amazing', 'banging', and 'unreal'.
"I'm definitely going to try the burgers tonight," one Instagram user wrote. While another said: "Lovely, lovely, lovely. Yes, yes, yes." A third added: "I sense a Greggs trip on the horizon."
Greggs, Costa & Pret coffees have 'huge differences in caffeine', says reportHowever, it wasn't long before hungry customers realised the new options aren't available in every store. "Are these in select stores only?" one Facebook user asked. "[I] can't find them anywhere in Cardiff." Another complained: "Load of s**t. It's not on their app or any delivery app." While a third declared: "Not available in all stores," with a skull emoji.
