Joe Biden's dog has finally been booted from the White House after biting Secret Service members a staggering 24 times, according to new documents.

The president's beloved German Shepherd 'Commander' has been removed from the residency and is now believed to be staying with friends of the Bidens following the number of incidents. The incidents occurred at the White House and the Biden family homes in Rehoboth Beach and Wilmington, Delaware.

According to a Secret Service technician in October 2022, the Bidens were "worried about the family pets' behavior escalating and that … something worse was going to happen to others'"

"The recent dog bites have challenged us to adjust our operational tactics when Commander is present – please give lots of room,' an assistant special agent in charge of USSS’ Presidential Protective Division wrote to team members, according to the report obtained by CNN.

At least ten times, the member of the Secret Service required medical treatment after injuries were inflicted on arms, hands, legs, and waists, according to the records first published by John Greenewald.

It has left Biden 'heartbroken' and the family feeling 'awful' about the incidents which they have apologised for. "Commander was over-protective, and even though they tried and tried to work on it, they had to let him go live with other members of their family", the source added.

Elizabeth Alexander, a spokesperson for Jill Biden, said despite additional dog training it was "too much" for Commander. In a statement, she said: "The President and First Lady care deeply about the safety of those who work at the White House and those who protect them every day.

"Despite additional dog training, leashing, working with veterinarians, and consulting with animal behaviorists, the White House environment simply proved too much for Commander. Since the fall, he has lived with other family members."

Commander arrived as a puppy in 2021 and struggled to adapt to the new environment The attack comes after staff warned of the danger of being mauled after First Lady Jill Biden 'couldn't regain control' of the animal as it charged a member of Secret Service staff in November 2022.

Emails obtained by the conservative group Judicial Watch through a Freedom of Information Act request confirmed that the incident was one of ten to take place in four months.

A spokesman for the Secret Service said at the time: "The U.S. Secret Service takes the safety and wellbeing of our employees extremely seriously, and has been navigating how to best operate in an environment that includes family pets for many Presidential administrations.

'The incidents involving the Commander were treated as workplace injuries, with events documented by Secret Service and US Department of Homeland Security guidelines.

'While Secret Service personnel neither handle nor care for the first family’s pets, we work continuously with all applicable entities to minimize any adverse impacts from family pets."
