NFL legend Chad Johnson has a secret tip that Russell Wilson might join the Pittsburgh Steelers to escape his tough time with the Denver Broncos.

Just this week, we found out that Wilson is selling his big $25 million house in Denver. This has many convinced he's going to leave the team after they benched him late last season. NFL Network reports say he might still be the main quarterback for the Broncos next year - but a new theory has suggested his next destination is known.

Former wide receiver Johnson, widely known as OchoCinco, says someone has told him that if Wilson leaves the Broncos, he'll go to the Steelers. On his show 'Nightcap', he shared: "A little birdie told me, and I said this many shows ago. Russell Wilson's coming on over there to the Steelers."

Last season, the Steelers had three different quarterbacks. Kenny Pickett, who was picked first by the team, didn't do great in his second year. Mitch Trubisky and Mason Rudolph also couldn't quite make the starting spot their own.

Pickett has only made 13 touchdowns in his 25 games playing in the NFL. He's also thrown just as many interceptions and it seems like the people in charge of the team want a new main quarterback.

Despite a dip in form since his days with the Seahawks, Wilson has outperformed any of the Steelers' quarterbacks over the past two years. If he's let go by the Broncos, he could be snapped up as a free agent.

In a surprising move, Wilson was benched in December, even though his season stats were pretty solid. The team was struggling and wanted him to change his contract, but he said no.

He was replaced by backup Jarrett Stidham, and then hinted that the Broncos basically wanted him to take a pay cut so they could reshuffle their roster.

If the Broncos do decide to let Wilson go, as many expect, they'll face the biggest dead salary cap penalty in NFL history. It'll cost them $85 million over the next two seasons if they make him a post-June 1st cut. Since Chad Johnson's comments, Wilson is now tipped to join the Steelers, after previously being linked with the Atlanta Falcons.
