Sarah Beeny has seriously divided her fans after revealing her bizarre dishwasher method.

The TV star is best known for presenting shows including Property Ladder, Britain's Best Home and Sarah Beeny's New Life in the Country. But it's her own unusual home hack has really caused a stir - with even her husband admitting it could be 'grounds for divorce'.

In a video shared on her Instagram page, Sarah admits: "Graham says the way I empty the dishwasher makes me almost untenable to live with - he's caught it on camera just in case it's ever needed in a divorce court.

"I don't see the problem - saves loads of time. In general, he does it, which is perhaps a very good thing! It can't only be me who empties the cutlery like this??"

In the clip, Sarah can be seen opening her dishwasher and reaching inside for the cutlery box. While most people would then sort through the cutlery to make sure the forks, knives and spoons end up in the right compartment, Sarah takes an all-together different approach.

Instead, she simply opens up a drawer, tips the cutlery box upside down and empties it out - to the horror of her husband, and viewers. Sarah also admits she is not a fan of the 'ridiculous' cutlery trays at the top of some dishwasher.

"It's almost as if someone thought, well now we've made a dishwasher that saves people loads of time, what are they going to do with that time?'" she says in the clip. "I know, we'll invent a tray where they can individually place each piece of cutlery to wash. I mean what a silly idea."

The video quickly went viral with people admitting that they were absolutely horrified by Sarah's technique. "What. Did. You. Just. Do…," one follower wrote. A second said: "I could not live like this. I'm sorry but I have to go lie down to recover." A third added: STOP IT!! That's an accident waiting to happen!"

A fourth person told the TV star: "Oh dear god your husband is a saint!! Don't you waste a load of time trying to find what you want?" And a fifth said: "Literally traumatised by that cutlery drawer."

Someone else joked: "I don't want to be 'too dramatic', but this is the worst thing I have ever seen and that drawer should be burned. And the dishwasher. And perhaps the house."
