Michael Chandler issues epic call-out to Conor McGregor after latest UFC delay

Conor McGregor has been told to get his "candy a**" back to the octagon by UFC rival Michael Chandler.

A year has passed since McGregor's comeback fight against Chandler was announced but the pair are still without a date or event for their clash. The fight was expected to take place at the end of last year after they coached against each other on The Ultimate Fighter, but UFC boss Dana White thinks it will now happen this autumn.

Chandler appeared at WWE Monday Night RAW in Anaheim just days after the UFC hosted their latest pay-per-view event in the city. The former Bellator MMA champion sent a message to McGregor by reciting the original call-out he made of the Irishman after knocking out Tony Ferguson at UFC 274 almost two years ago.

“Hey, what’s up Anaheim! You are now in the presence of the most entertaining UFC fighter on the planet. Hey, now there’s a man from Ireland that’s been making me wait for way too long, and I’ve still got one dude on my mind! Conor McGregor, get your candy ass back to the octagon! We’ve got some unfinished business, boys! God bless. I’ll see you at the top," Chandler said.

McGregor missed out a spot at UFC 300 as the mega-event, which takes place in April, is headlined by Alex Pereira and Jamahal Hill's world title fight. McGregor had been campaigning to headline the card against Chandler as he wrote: "McGregor on 300 seals the deal." Chandler was quick to accept the challenge as he replied: "I accept. See you soon."

Assuming that McGregor doesn't fight until autumn, over three years would have passed since his last fight against Dustin Poirier. Chandler is getting frustrated sitting on the sidelines as he also hasn't fought in over a year and the American plans to take his frustrations out on McGregor by sending him into retirement.

"I finish Conor within the first two rounds and after that, probably end his career,” Chandler said on his YouTube channel. “There’s just so much more than what people think about on the surface level. I want battlegrounds of epic proportions, I want to stand in the cage with that man, I want to break that man’s will, I want to break his jaw.
