Newsboy's racing tips for Tuesday's three meetings, including Newcastle NAP

Newcastle stages an eight-race card on Tuesday evening with Newsboy's Nap, Solray, running in the 6.30

Solray can continue his upward trend and score a third course and distance win in the Build Your Acca With BetUK Handicap (6.30) over six furlongs at Newcastle.

The son of New Bay was last seen taking an emphatic victory against ten rivals at Gosforth Park in December, hitting the front inside the final furlong to surge clear by a length and three-quarters from Clipsham La Habana.

And while now on a 7lb higher mark, there looks to be plenty of improvement to come from the four-year-old having just the sixth run of his racing career.

Hollie Doyle takes the ride for trainer Jane Chapple-Hyam for her only mount of the meeting.

Jim Goldie has run BOBBY SHAFTOE over a wide range of trips, from five furlongs to two miles, and he tries a mile and a quarter for the first time since last March in the Boost Your Acca-Fenwa With BetUK Handicap (4.55).

The six-year-old is another who enjoys the Newcastle Tapeta surface, having won four times at the track, and arrives on the back of a strong performance here last month when coming with a late rattle to be beaten half a length by Polar Princess over a mile and a half.
