Stacey Solomon and her husband Joe Swash are travelling across Scotland in their new swanky £60,000 motorhome - a trip which hasn’t quite been going to plan so far.

The couple, who have five kids together, started their journey on Saturday February 17 from their home Pickle Cottage and headed for the Scottish Highlands.

However, just hours into their travels, they had to stop after Stacey, 34, forgot to secure cupboards inside the van which resulted in everything falling out of them wreaking havoc in the back.

The Loose Woman panellist shared a video of husband and former Eastenders actor Joe, 41, looking far from amused, as he picked up pasta and other items from the floor.

But their streak of bad luck didn’t ended there - because after spending the night at Loch Ness Caravan Park in Inverness - they packed up this morning, Sunday February 18, and headed for the Isle of Skye, leaving behind Stacey’s bright pink suitcase and handbag.

Thankfully an eagle-eyed onsite resident spotted her items and used the power of social media to reunite them with her. Dan Gilchrist, 32, said: “I was chilling on my balcony and the campervan drove past, I had to double take, I couldn’t believe it was Joe Swash.

“Moments later I spotted a pink suitcase and a handbag where the van had been parked, so instantly took a picture, posted it on Instagram and tagged them in it. I also know the person who owns the site, so I contacted them immediately.

“Myself and my mother headed over to look after the case and handbag and it still had stags on it from a previous holiday. Their name are Joe Swash and Stacey Solomon.

“We both thought ‘what do we do now’. It’s a first come, first served site, you don’t book into it. There was no record to contact them."

The local radio presenter added: “Around 10 minutes later the campervan came flying round the corner, with the horn blasting and Joe hanging out the window waving his hands.

“He quickly jumped out and came running over to us and thanked us for looking after their belongings shouting ‘Highland hospitality at its best. They told me the Scots were very nice people, they are very nice people. He also shook my hand before heading back to the van. Stacey was shouting over thanking us as well. He said they were heading to the Isle of Skye, and Fort William. It’s been a very bizarre Sunday afternoon.”
