NFL fans believe Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel was caught on camera using a vape pen on the sideline of their playoff game against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday evening.

A clip went viral of the 39-year-old, who looked to have called in a play to his quarterback Skylar Thompson with the camera staying on him for a few seconds. Before the clip cuts off, McDaniel is seen holding something before putting the item to his mouth, with fans speculating that he could be inhaling a vape pen.

The clip was shared across numerous social media platforms, with many fully believing McDaniel to be holding a vape pen, with some pointing out it looks to be a Juul pen - a popular vaping brand.

A number of fans shared images of their vape pens and compared it to the image shown of McDaniel holding an item in his hand. One said: "Definitely hitting the juul," with another saying: "It literally looks exactly like a j-pen!".

But many disagreed, as one stated: "He's definitely breathing into his glove to warm up his hands. Look at the way his lips push forward. If he was vaping, his lips wouldn't move like that. Definitely looked like he was vaping on the first watch tho." And another added: "He obviously would not be vaping whilst coaching, c'mon."

"For the health, safety, and comfort of all Bills guests and Highmark Stadium Team Members, smoking (including electronic cigarettes) and all tobacco products (including chewing tobacco, lighters and matches) are prohibited inside all areas of the stadium; including entry gates, concourses, seating areas, and all suites and clubs.

"There are no designated smoking areas in the stadium and re-entry is prohibited. Stadium guests who fail to comply with this smoking / tobacco policy are subject to ejection and may lose ticket privileges."

McDaniel was not asked about the incident during the Dolphins press conference after their season-ending loss to the Buffalo Bills, however he is expected to give an exit interview on their season review on Monday at some point.
