Newsboy's racing tips for Wednesday's three meetings, including Kempton Nap

FIVETHOUSANDTOONE will start Kempton Park's Try Unibet's Improved Bet Builder Handicap (7.00) at a significantly shorter price than his name suggests and is expected to deliver.

The six-year-old son of Frankel, who finished seventh behind St Mark’s Basilica in the Dewhurst as a two-year-old, hasn’t won often – his most recent success coming at Goodwood during the summer of 2022 – but the addiction of a visor last time out at Newcastle seemed to have focused his attention.

Coming with a late flourish, the gelding finished a length and a half second behind top sprint handicapper Albasheer over the same six furlong trip.

That form is strong and add the combination of his trainer Andrew Balding together with Oisin Murphy on board, my selection looks hard to resist.

HE’S A LATCHITO is a hurdler who has improved with every run for his handler Gary Moore, and looks the part for the Southern Cranes & Access Handicap Hurdle (3.20) at Fontwell over two miles and one and a half furlongs.

The six-year-old won twice over course and distance during the summer last year, and put in a fine run 24 days ago at Lingfield when chasing home Inthewaterside by two and a quarter lengths, the pair well clear of the reminder of the nine-runner field.
