Lou Sanders leaves Dancing On Ice moments after Roxy Shahidi brutally axed
Dancing On Ice eliminated its fifth contestant on Sunday night, just moments after another name was dropped from the ITV series.
Lou Sanders was the second star of the night to lose their place on the show, moments after Roxy Shahidi left the competition. Three stars and their pro skating partners found themselves at risk in the latest episode after the public vote, with hosts Holly Willoughby and Stephen Mulhern confirming the twist.
After the first elimination of the night, a skate-off saw the other bottom two contestants forced to skate again in front of judges Oti Mabuse, Christopher Dean and Jayne Torvill and guest judge Johnny Weir. The judges then had to decide which star had survived another week, and which contestant would be going home then and there.
Roxy and Lou found themselves in the bottom three alongside Ricky Norwood, with one of them told they had been voted out immediately. It was Roxy and her pro partner Sylvain Longchambon who had the fewest votes from viewers and their time on the show ended there.

Then, Lou and her pro partner Brendyn Hatfield had to take on Ricky and his pro Annette Dytrt in the dreaded skate-off. This wasn't Lou's first rodeo, and this time she lost out as the judges all saved Ricky and sent her home.
Lou was sad to go saying she'd had "the time of her life", and she even joked she'd be back next weekend to give things a go again. Holly called her the "queen" of the latest episode, with the crowd screaming out to Lou in support.
It comes after Lou and Claire Sweeney found themselves in the dreaded skate-off last weekend. Unfortunately, it was Claire and her pro skating partner Colin Grafton who were sent home.

Meanwhile, the week prior saw Hannah Spearritt booted out of the competition, and in an appearance on This Morning just a few days after, she admitted she suffered a secret scare just a few hours before she went on the ice. She explained: "I'm glad I'm out of it in one piece, do you know what I mean?
"I can watch it next Sunday on the couch. It was amazing to learn that skill. Yes it is completely dangerous. Anything can go wrong. I had something go wrong three hours before. It wasn't anything major but it just reminds you anything can go wrong at any time. It's just a lot to think about with every move, to make sure it goes right."
Hannah also opened up about her autoimmune condition and how it affected her training, adding: "It had a massive impact at the start, especially. I felt like I've only really come into my own in the last couple of weeks.
"I've been solid and feeling good every day. There was a lot of ups and downs but the last two weeks have been solid. I feel like I was about to get going, but I'm grateful to be able to exercise every day."
Before Hannah's exit, viewers saw former boxer Ricky Hatton revealed as the first star to leave the show. Asked about his exit from the ITV series after just one performance, Ricky confessed he was "gutted" and praised his skating partner for her hard work.
He was pleased with how far he had come along on the show in just a week, after adding new features to his routine which the judges applauded. He said: "I'm gutted to be going home yeah, I've tried to be a winner all my life in everything I've done. It's been a while since I saw the second round. I think I will carry on skating.

"I may be out in the first round but I had a great time, and I met some wonderful friends. I'd like to thank Robin for all her hard work and the coaches." He added that he'd be going home "happy".
