Robbie Williams’ wife Ayda Field has revealed they are planning on renewing their wedding vows next year.

The American actress, who shares four children – Teddy, 11, Charlie, nine, Coco, five, and three-year-old Beau – with Robbie married the Let Me Entertain You singer in a secret ceremony at their Los Angeles home on 7 August, 2010. Sixty family members and close friends were reportedly flown out to their mansion on the belief they were attending a James Bond Casino Royale-themed party to celebrate Robbie’s 20 years in the music business.

But instead, the couple tied the knot with Ayda walking down the aisle with their eight dogs as bridesmaids, no best man and Robbie – who swapped a traditional wedding band for a ring tattoo – bursting into song with a spontaneous performance of his hit song Angels, which is said to have brought their guests to their feet for a mass singalong.

Now Ayda, 44, has shared that she and Robbie, who turns 50 on February 13, are planning to celebrate their union once more – and are making plans to tie the knot for a second time in 2025, which will mark their 15th wedding anniversary after their original plan to renew their vows in 2020 on their 10th anniversary was derailed by the coronavirus pandemic.

She told HELLO! magazine she hopes her mum Gwen and 18-year-old dog Poupette, who featured in the original wedding, will be there and said: “I do think with my mum’s health, and if Poupette can hold on one more year, we will do a 15-year anniversary renewal. There are a lot of relatives and people who need to stay alive, but yes, let’s do it!”

Opening up about their relationship, which hasn’t been short of ups and downs over the years, Ayda shared she “feels grateful to know that the man I’m in love with is still the man I’m married to today, but even better”. She added: “It’s a beautiful thing when you’re in a healthy relationship. I feel very blessed. To have our families there too, you don’t realise how precious those moments are. We’ve really had a remarkable run and that day [their wedding day] was the start of it.”

And it seems Robbie is still just as smitten with Ayda, as in his recent Netflix series he spoke about being “the happiest man alive”, saying of his wife: “She makes me want to be a better person.” In the four-part limited series, Robbie admitted relapsing into drug addiction when he first met Ayda and recalled one scary night where she had to nurse him after he suffered a bad reaction from snorting a line of cocaine. He said: “She came to my house after being at a party and I’d just seen my dealer off, who I was sleeping with at the time.” Ayda describes the house as being “completely dark, no candles, no lights”.

Although Robbie was still in the grip of a drug addiction, which he has spoken openly about, Ayda said she still knew he was her ‘soulmate’. She shared: “He was saying funny s*** in the car and I thought, ‘Oh, he’s funny’. There was just this moment where we were laughing and it was like the universe opened up.”
