Dancing On Ice fans were all saying the same thing on Sunday night, as one of the regular stars on the ITV series was replaced.

Holly Willoughby and Stephen Mulhern were back hosting proceedings ahead of a double elimination that evening, with judges Oti Mabuse, Christopher Dean and Jayne Torvill and guest judge Johnny Weir ready to give their feedback. The remaining contestants took to the rink once more, hoping to make it to another week.

Amber Davies, Greg Rutherford, Roxy Shahidi, Ryan Thomas, Ricky Norwood, Miles Nazaire, Lou Sanders, Eddie “the Eagle” Edwards and Adele Roberts took it in turns with their pro skating partners, with another routine each for Musicals Week. The pressure was on as they knew two of them would be axed, and one before the skate-off.

But fans had a lot to say about a newcomer on the show after usual judge Ashley Banjo was replaced by American figure skater Johnny. Ashley is on tour with his dance group Diversity, so Johnny stepped in to judge the stars this week.

Viewers were keen for him to stay though, pleading with ITV bosses for them to keep Johnny on as he gave his feedback. Taking to X, one viewer posted: MAKE JOHNNY A PERMANENT JUDGE," as another said: "They should keep Johnny as a permanent judge! Fact."

A third fan said: "I love the guest judge." A fourth fan commented: "ove the new judge gives great critique knows what he is talking about we need to keep him as a judge," while a fifth wrote: "Really enjoying the addition of Johnny Weir already. Can we have him as a permanent judge plz??"

It comes after Lou Sanders and Claire Sweeney found themselves in the dreaded skate-off last weekend. Unfortunately, it was Claire and her pro skating partner Colin Grafton who were sent home.

Speaking about her time on the show, she admitted she had been in serious pain today but thanks to the physio, she had managed to push through and was glad her son was there to watch her perform.

Meanwhile, the week prior saw Hannah Spearritt booted out of the competition, and in an appearance on This Morning just a few days after, she admitted she suffered a secret scare just a few hours before she went on the ice. She explained: "I'm glad I'm out of it in one piece, do you know what I mean?

"I can watch it next Sunday on the couch. It was amazing to learn that skill. Yes, it is completely dangerous. Anything can go wrong. I had something go wrong three hours before. It wasn't anything major but it just reminds you anything can go wrong at any time. It's just a lot to think about with every move, to make sure it goes right."

Hannah also opened up about her autoimmune condition and how it affected her training, adding: "It had a massive impact at the start, especially. I felt like I've only really come into my own in the last couple of weeks.

"I've been solid and feeling good every day. There was a lot of ups and downs but the last two weeks have been solid. I feel like I was about to get going, but I'm grateful to be able to exercise every day."

Before Hannah's exit, viewers saw former boxer Ricky Hatton revealed as the first star to leave the show. Asked about his exit from the ITV series after just one performance, Ricky confessed he was "gutted" and praised his skating partner for her hard work.

He was pleased with how far he had come along on the show in just a week, after adding new features to his routine which the judges applauded. He said: "I'm gutted to be going home yeah, I've tried to be a winner all my life in everything I've done. It's been a while since I saw the second round. I think I will carry on skating.

"I may be out in the first round but I had a great time, and I met some wonderful friends. I'd like to thank Robin for all her hard work and the coaches." He added that he'd be going home "happy".
