The wives and girlfriends of England footballers have been warned not to flash their bling before the Euros.

Some stars are building panic rooms at their luxury homes after a series of raids on the homes of Premier League footballers.

A large group of ‘WAGS’, including Fern Maguire, 28, wife of Man Utd defender Harry, and keeper Jordan Pickford's wife Megan Davison, 27, are set to follow captain Harry Kane and his side in Germany. Jack Grealish's girlfriend, the fashion model and influencer Sasha Attwood, 27, and Luke Shaw's partner Anouska Santos, 31, are also likely to travel.

Man City’s £100m signing Grealish had £1m worth of jewellery and valuables taken in a raid over Christmas.

Manchester United star Victor Lindelof already has one, used by his wife and children when their home was targeted.

England’s WAGs have been given a security update, and have access to an online document which offers advice ahead of the tournament. It advises not to show off jewellery in any social media posts.

“They’ve been reminded of the previous educational sessions which they have had on security,” said a source. “The dos and don’ts.

“Don’t advertise jewellery, display it online or post images inside or outside of their homes.”

After Grealish spoke of his ordeal, some of the stars consulted architects about panic rooms.

The gang who targeted Grealish are also believed to be behind the raids on former Liverpool ace Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Love Island stars Molly Mae Hague and Tommy Fury.

Dubbed them the “Balcony Burglars”, they use ladders to target balconies connected to the master bedrooms of each mansion. England ace Raheem Sterling raced back from the Qatar World Cup when raiders stole £350,000 worth of watches from his house.

Man Utd defender Lindelof’s wife and two kids locked themselves in a panic room when their home was raided in January 2022. Man City’s Joao Cancelo was attacked by robbers in front of his wife at their property in the city.

Balconies are a favoured method of access as they know jewellery, watches and designer handbags will all be close by, with the raids carried out within minutes.

Oxlade-Chamberlain and Little Mix singer Perrie Edwards were robbed by a gang at their £3.5m mansion in Wilmslow, Cheshire. The couple, at home at the time, did not know they had been targeted until they discovered items of jewellery and handbags missing.
