Neal Maupay has taken aim at Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as he continues his crusade to rub opponents up the wrong way.

The Brentford star has landed himself in hot water in recent weeks following his side's games against Tottenham and Manchester City. Now, when ranking players past and present, he's taken the opportunity to poke fun at Aubameyang when comparing him to others.

Maupay was taking part in a TikTok challenge that has begun doing the rounds. He had to rank players - some still playing, some not - which involved being given a name and putting them in a list from one to ten without knowing who else was to come.

First up was Michael Owen, who Maupay put in ninth. Deco followed and was stuck in eighth. Wesley Sneijder was put sixth, Adriano fourth, Victor Osimhen tenth, Angel Di Maria seventh, and Franz Beckenbauer fifth. Next up was Aubameyang - who would've had to be fourth or higher.

Maupay though said: "Oh my God, can I put him eleven? No, I can't. No hard feelings." The striker excelled in his Arsenal days but has struggled since at the likes of Barcelona and Chelsea. In the end the Brentford star put Erling Haaland top ahead of Andres Iniesta.

The Frenchman came up against Haaland and Manchester City on Monday, scoring the opener before the champions registered a 3-1 success. It was in that game that he clashed with Kyle Walker as the Daily Mail claim the striker took aim at Walker's personal life, which has been in the headlines.

Last week, Maupay also found himself in a war of words with Tottenham's James Maddison. After scoring in north London, the Brentford star copied Maddison's celebration, which sees him throw a pretend dart. The two players shared some words before a physical tussle shortly afterwards.

Maddison claimed that Maupay hadn't scored enough goals in recent years to warrant his own celebration, which provoked a response on social media from the Frenchman. He said: “Went a bit early with that one. Gutted we couldn't get the win. More goals and less relegations in my career than James Maddison."
