The Seattle Seahawks are considering hiring Aden Durde, the Dallas Cowboys' defensive line coach.

If successful, Durde would become the first British coordinator in NFL history. The London-born coach has had a swift rise in the NFL, starting as a quality control coach in 2018 and impressing under Dan Quinn. He followed Quinn to the Cowboys and in three years, he's become one of the most respected positional coaches in the league.

The Seahawks are revamping their coaching team after letting go of Pete Carroll. The oldest coach in the NFL is being replaced by the youngest in Mike Macdonald. The latter is building his first staff with the Seahawks and has already brought in former Minnesota Vikings head coach Leslie Frazier as his assistant.

Durde has also reportedly interviewed with the Green Bay Packers, the Los Angeles Rams and the Atlanta Falcons. However, it seems that Seattle is keen to secure him as their new coordinator.

The 44-year-old from Middlesex could become the first ever coach from Britain to be given a role as a coordinator. It seems only a matter of time before he is given such a position.

Durde, who previously coached in the British BAFA leagues, joined the Falcons in 2018. He made a name for himself as the London Warriors' defensive coordinator and play-caller.

Cowboys stars DeMarcus Lawrence and Micah Parsons have praised Durde for their impressive pass rush, showing he's highly regarded by his players.

If Durde joins Seattle, he'll be part of one of the youngest coaching teams in the NFL. The team recently hired 34-year-old Jay Harbaugh as their special teams coordinator. Harbaugh reportedly chose Seattle over joining his father, Jim Harbaugh, at the Los Angeles Chargers.

Seattle is also currently looking for their offensive coordinator. They've interviewed Chip Kelly (UCLA head coach), Tanner Engstrand (Detroit Lions quarterback coach) and Ryan Grubb (Washington offensive coordinator).
