The Chase's Shaun Wallace is notoriously private about his life but recently revealed he has a mystery partner.

Shaun, 63, doesn't share a great deal about his personal life with fans but was recently questioned about it by Loose Women star Kaye Adams and her co-star Karen MacKenzie on the How To Be 60 podcast. The three stars discussed finding love as well as the decisions they made in life.

The Chaser, who is also known as The Dark Destroyer on the ITV programme, has never been married but does have a partner. Speaking on the podcast, Shaun was asked: "Is there room in there for a personal life?" The TV star and barrister explained: "Er... yes. Although I'm not married, I suppose I'm married to my career. Put it that way. I like that. I prefer that and I'm happier."

Karen asked whether he was dating anyone and he responded: "Yes, I'm in a relationship." Loose Women's Kaye interrupted to tell him that she warned him about her co-host's "bluntness" while Karen admitted she tried searching around for some information about his private life but didn't find anything.

Moving onto the topic of children, Karen asked: "I wanted to ask if you ever had children?" to which Shaun responded: "No, I have never had a child." He said he didn't want to have any children when he was younger and, to this day, stands by his deliberate decision.

"It was a conscious reason - when I was a young struggling barrister. I didn't think it would be right to bring up a child when you're trying to climb to the top of that greasy pole," he told the hosts. "And I've never regretted that decision. I've got 15 godchildren. Two of them are called Shaun and I'm the best godfather in the world.

"I probably would have been a great dad but I've got no regrets in relation to that." The 'closest thing to a daughter he has' is the child he raised with his ex-partner. "I do have an ex-partner whose daughter, who I have raised since the age of two, she is my closest thing to a daughter but she lives in America now," he added. "I watched her grow into a lovely young lady. She got a First Class Honours degree recently and she got her doctorate the other day and I was there." The young woman also calls him dad.
