Coca-Cola is spicing things up with a new raspberry-flavoured drink, Coca-Cola Spiced.

The fizzy drinks giant announced the new addition to its North American range on Wednesday. The new drink, which also comes in a zero sugar version, will hit the shelves in the U.S. and Canada on February 19.

It's not clear yet if Coca-Cola Spiced will be available in the UK, but if it proves popular then it might be a taste of the future. For the moment UK customers will be able to enjoy another new flavour, Coca-Cola Happy Tears, a drink with salt and mineral flavours, that will be exclusively available on TikTok from February 17 in the U.S. and UK.

In 2022, Coca-Cola launched Coca-Cola Creations, a series of eight limited-edition flavours in colourful cans and bottles, as part of efforts to attract younger drinkers.

Shakir Moin, a marketing boss for Coca Cola, revealed that customer feedback for Coca-Cola Creations influenced the creation of Coca-Cola Spiced. He shared that while it usually takes at least a year to develop a new beverage, Coca-Cola Spiced was ready in just seven weeks.

Moin expressed the company's aim to maintain this pace for future products, stating: "Consumers are moving faster. The market is moving forward faster. We've got to be faster than the speed of the market,"

He said: "The amount of spiciness has gone up because consumers' taste palettes have evolved. We realized that could be an opportunity for us. Can we dial up something which is already part of our formula and bring in a taste profile that is interesting, unique, and brings in the next generation of consumers?"
