Robbie Williams, Chris Pratt, and Adele have joined forces for a supermarket perfume ad – but not all is as it seems.

Rather than the former Take That favourite, Hollywood actor, and British singer, a group of Lidl employees who share the same names have been chosen to front the latest fragrance campaign by the discount supermarket.

From store managers, to a customer assistant, and warehouse desk clerk, the staff are modelling the brand’s cheeky “Suddenly” and “G. Bellini” perfume adverts.

Each of the namesakes have undergone a stunning transformation, swapping their store get-up for glitz and glamour.

Peter De Roos, chief customer officer at Lidl GB, said: “Our colleagues are superstars every day, so who else would we call when we wanted to launch a high-profile campaign to promote our perfume, than our very own Adele, Shakira, Chris, and Robbie?

“Our perfume range is carefully crafted to offer the absolute best quality, at market leading prices, and we hope our customers love the campaign as much as they love our incredible perfumes.”

Lending their faces to the G. Bellini scents are store manager, Chris Pratt, from Preston Grange, as well as Robbie Williams, a deputy store manager from Stanningley.

Meanwhile, Shakira Khan, a customer assistant from Luton, and Adele Prattley, a warehouse desk clerk from Lidl’s Luton RDC, are fronting the Suddenly fragrances.

The supermarket chain’s perfume range has amassed an army of money-saving fans on social media, with TikTok searches relating to “viral Lidl perfume” collectively racking up an estimated 724.4million views.

Robbie Williams said: “For years, people have sung (the other) Robbie Williams songs at me when I introduce myself, but now I’m famous in my own right. I’m poised and ready to sign all the autographs that will come rolling in.”

And Chris Pratt added: “I’ve loved being part of this campaign, and keeping it a surprise – my own family didn’t know until the billboard went up outside the store I work in.

“For years people have thought I was joking when I make a dinner reservation, but now you can’t miss me.”
