Strictly's Ellie Leach announces first acting role since Coronation Street
Ellie Leach has announced her first acting role since leaving Coronation Street.
The actress left the soap last year before appearing on Strictly Come Dancing. She impressed both the judges and viewers as she went on to take home the Glitterball trophy with Vito Coppola. Ellie is set to make her stage acting debut later this month for the UK tour of Cluedo 2.
The 22-year-old played the role of Faye Windass on the ITV soap for 13 years. She is now set to join the cast of Cluedo 2 as the iconic board game celebrates its 75th anniversary. The tour will kick off at Richmond Theatre on 29 February and visits theatres across the UK until July.

Speaking of her new role, said: “After an incredible year I’m so excited to join the cast of Cluedo 2. I am delighted to make my stage acting debut as Miss Scarlett and I can’t wait to work with Jason and the talented cast.”
Jason added: “I’m thrilled to be joining the cast of Cluedo 2 as Colonel Mustard. I was a huge fan of the Cluedo board game as a child and the Colonel is such a great character. I am looking forward to bringing laughter and this ultimate whodunnit to audiences across the UK in its 75th anniversary year.”

The play is set in the 1960s and is written by BAFTA award winning writers Laurence Marks and Maurice Gran. They will tour theatres across the UK including York, Brighton, Bath, Nottingham, Cardiff and Glasgow, with prices starting from £13. Ellie is currently on the Strictly Come Dancing Live tour as she performs across the country with her co-stars.
She has sparked romance rumours with fellow actor and Strictly star Bobby Brazier while on the tour. Reports have swirled that Ellie and Bobby have grown close over the course of the tour dates. Ellie had her heart broken last year when her boyfriend Reagan Pettman kissed another woman - destroying their romance. While rumours raged that she and dance partner Vito Coppola, 33, were becoming close during the course of the 2024 season of Strictly, the pair have since stated that they are just friends.
However, the pair have shown just how close their bond is by getting matching tattoos. Vito explained their unique choice for the tattoo while heading to Nicola Oprey's studio in Liverpool. "It is going to be a bee with an aubergine body," he said, sporting a wide smile. He excitedly showed off the finished tattoo boasting the word "resilience". Ellie flashed her tongue, excited about her new tattoo as the close friends posed together.
