Love Island viewers point out Josh's mistake – and slam 'petty' Joanna
Love Island All Stars fans are raging at Josh Ritchie as he seemed to flit between Sophie Piper and Joanna Chimonides and vied for both of their attention.
The 29-year-old season one Love Island contestant had been growing close to 25-year-old season six star Sophie - but has also been toying with 27-year-old season five star Joanna. Viewers were shocked to see Josh switching his opinion about both women - seemingly unaware he was on camera.
Just days earlier, fellow contestant Georgia Steel was caught out during a ‘Movie Night’ in the villa - when it was revealed she’d been playing with the hearts of Callum Jones and Toby Aromolaran. And now fans are demanding that Josh receive similar treatment so his behaviour over Soph and Jo can be exposed.
In scenes that aired on Monday night, Sophie declared she was not interested in anyone else, prompting Josh to say: “Same.” Sophie then declared he needed to find ways to “get back in my good books” and Josh smiled. Sophie then warned: “But first, I think you need to speak to Joanna and tell her how you’re feeling.”

He asked Sophie: “Do you accept my apologies?” And she replied: “It is so hard to stay annoyed at you. It’s really frustrating.” He asked: “Why is it so hard?” And Sophie confessed: “Every time I look at you, I just want to laugh.”

She then admitted that she didn’t find him annoying any more. While the scenes seemed to show a bond growing between Josh and Sophie, viewers were left gobsmacked.
X was flooded with outraged comments from TV fans who demanded Josh’s behaviour get exposed. One scandalised viewer wrote: “Is Josh acting like this bc he knows movie nights done and by so he won’t get caught as if they’ve now stopped recording ? #LoveIsland.”

As the episode progressed, Joanna also came under fire as some fans questioned if she was empowering Josh by failing to be honest about the nature of her relationship with the former Ex on the Beach star. One enraged viewer wrote on X: "Uh huh, Joanna suddenly felt like she should be honest with Sophie and tell her about the Josh chat. Would she have been interested in doing that if he hadn't shut things down with her? #LoveIsland."
But another typed: “Everyone’s cussing Joanna for telling Sophie that they were still ‘getting to know each other’ but Josh lied & told her he cut Joanna off when he didn’t lol why shouldn’t Sophie know that? Is that not Joanna looking out for Sophie? he lies for no reason #LoveIsland." But another still wrote: "Nahhh girl you wouldn’t have said anything if Josh didn’t end it..soo petty #LoveIsland."
