Holly Willoughby has been spotted cosying up to her former This Morning colleague Alison Hammond three months after quitting the ITV show.

The 42-year-old posted a glammed up snap of her and Alison on a night out as she wished her TV pal a happy birthday. As Alison turned 49 today, Holly squashed any rumours of a This Morning feud and wrote: “Happiest of Birthdays to this Dream Queen... love ya @alisonhammond55 have a day as beautiful as you.”

But the mum-of-three turned the comments off underneath so Alison couldn’t reply. Though over on her own Instagram Alison shared Holly’s snap in her stories, along with a host of other well wishes from her famous pals.

It comes as The Mirror exclusively revealed that Cat Deeley would be Holly’s replacement on This Morning and will be co-hosting with Good Morning Britain favourite Ben Shephard, who will take over from Phillip Schofield.

An insider said: “The cat’s out of the bag - they are the new dream team. is planning to announce Cat and Ben as their new star pairing in March. Obviously Ben is well known and loved by the ITV daytime audience thanks to his many years on the breakfast sofa. Cat is also a very recognisable face, thanks to her long stint of working on kids’ TV, although she’s been over in the US for a long time. Back in the 90s and early 2000s, when she worked with Ant and Dec on SMTV Live, she was very warm and funny so it’s hoped they can recreate some of that magic together.”

Though she is no longer on This Morning, Holly returned to Dancing on Ice last month, which she now presents with Stephen Mulhern instead of Phil. She revealed she was stepping down from the show she had co-hosted for over a decade in October following Phil’s affair scandal. She and her family had also been the target of death threats for which a man has since been arrested.

Since returning to social media in January, Holly looks better than ever and has been sharing glam shots of her outfits and posts with her famous pals. Over the weekend she wished fellow TV presenter Christine Lampard a happy birthday and shared a shot of themselves on a boozy night out. She captioned the post: “Happy birthday to my beautiful friend @christinelampard... here’s to my fellow Aquarian! Love ya,” as they sipped cocktails.

Last month both as they celebrated her 48th birthday on January 21. All Saints star Nicole Appleton was also in the photo as they are all part of the same friendship group.

Now she’s back on TV screens, there could be much bigger things in Holly’s future, including global fame, as she is reportedly being touted to host a brand new game show for Netflix, which will follow a format similar to I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! Holly is said to be heading to a jungle environment to helm a brand new show which will see her presiding over daring trials where celebrities will go up against notorious survivalist, Bear Grylls.
