The 2024 Grammy Awards took place in Hollywood last night, with all of the big players from the music industry in one room for a celebratory evening.

But amid the glitz and glamour that comes with these events, there was a healthy amount of drama too, with bombshells galore coming out of the iconic Crypto.com Arena in downtown LA. The big news from the night was hitmaker Taylor Swift making history after winning the Album Of The Year award for the fourth time.

Taylor Swift announcing new album and snubbing Travis Kelce

Taylor won Album Of The Year and Best Pop Vocal Album at the awards last night, with both gongs awarded to her for her 2022 album Midnights. And it was after winning her first award of the night that Taylor made a shocking announcement.

Announcing her new album when accepting one of her two awards at the event, Taylor said: "I know the way Recording Academy voted is the direct reflection of the passion of the fans, so I want to say thank you to the fans by telling you a secret that I've been keeping from you for the past two years which is that my brand new album comes out April 19. It's called the Tortured Poets Department."

While accepting each of her awards, Taylor did not utter a word about her current boyfriend, but did however announce that on April 19 she'd be releasing the aforementioned new album. And since Taylor announced the name of her new album, fans have been convinced that the title of it is a veiled dig at her ex-boyfriend Joe Alwyn, whom she split from last April.

It was reported in 2022 that Joe was part of a group chat with fellow actors Andrew Scott and Paul Mescal titled 'Tortured Man Club' - which now sounds very familiar and much like the title of his ex-girlfriends new album.

Jay Z slamming the Grammys for Beyonce snubs

Jay-Z received the Global Impact Award at the Grammys last night and was quick to use his speech to defend his wife. In a lengthy speech, he pointed out a shocking fact: Beyonce has never won Album Of The Year, despite her many other accolades.

The famed rapper stood beside his daughter, Blue Ivy, and said: "Think about that. Most Grammys never won album of the year ... Some of you gonna go home tonight and feel like you've been robbed, some of you may get robbed. Some of you don't belong in the category ... Now, when I get nervous I tell the truth. But outside of that, outside of that, we gotta keep showing up."

He went on: "And forget the Grammys for a second, just in life as my daughter sits and stares at me just as nervous as I am. Just in life, you gotta keep showing up, just keep showing up. Forget the Grammys you gotta keep showing up until they give you all those accolades you deserve. Until they call you chairman. Until they call you a genius. Until they call you the greatest."

Miley Cyrus bullying the audience mid-performance

As she started her electrifying performance of her hit Flowers, which won a gong at the ceremony, she couldn't help but notice a puzzling lack of energy from the audience. Without missing a beat, she playfully called them out saying, "Why are you acting like you don't know this song?"

Miley continued to deliver an energetic performance, leaving fans both entertained and slightly bewildered. Meanwhile, fellow songstress Taylor Swift could be seen grooving along in an energetic manner from the audience.

Celine Dion surprise appearance and Taylor Swift snub

Iconic singer Celine Dion, 55, made a rare appearance at the Grammys last night, despite her struggles with stiff person syndrome. Taking to the stage to present Taylor with an award, Celine received a standing ovation.

But Taylor was quickly met with criticism when she "snubbed" Celine. "Taylor Swift completely ignoring Celine Dion like she was some trophy model presenter was #GRAMMYS was wild. She's won this three times and usually such a pro. But to ignore an icon, who is dealing with so much? Yikes," penned one fan on X.

Another said: "Taylor not acknowledging Celine and then SNATCHING the Grammy from her… JAIL," while a third fan added: "You know I love my girl Taylor but the disrespect for Celine....."

But one fan snapped back with: "Are you all ignoring that fact that she gave Celine a standing ovation when she came on stage and was singing/dancing to her song? Are you also ignoring the fact that Celine is in bad health and Taylor didn’t know if she was allowed to hug her? Are you also ignoring that they hugged backstage probably after Taylor asked if it was okay? Gimme a break. You’re all looking for any way possible to discredit her. It’s old and boring."

Killer Mike arrested after scooping gongs

Rapper Killer Mike was taken away in handcuffs from the Grammys after winning three gongs during the pre-show. As he was escorted away, someone yelled out "Free Mike" as he made his exit alongside police. The exact details surrounding his arrest are still unclear.

According to the Hollywood Reporter's Chris Gardner, officials noted that it is only a misdemeanor, unrelated to the events of the night. A source said: "It's nothing big." In the video, he was wearing his red carpet black suit with multiple officials around him.

An officer guided him by the album and Killer Mike did not interact with anyone to explain what was going on.

Doja Cat stuns with facial tattoos

Doja Cat left fans with their jaws on the floor when she attended the Grammys with her skin adorned in ink - which is thought to be temporary. The singer and rapper, whose real name is Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini, wore a dress by Dilara Findikoglu, and felt the need to have the designer's name in a Gothic font near her hairline.

The dress that she wore was a sheer strapless number, which expertly displayed a mass of presumably temporary tattoos placed all over her body. And as Doja, 28, walked the red carpet and debuted her dramatic new look, social media exploded.

"The tattoos are a good look for Doja Cat," one person said, while another added: "I hope those tattoos on Doja Cat are fake…"

Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris' awkward run-in

While at the iconic event, and after a jam-packed night for the hitmaker, Taylor seemingly had an awkward run-in with her ex-boyfriend Calvin Harris, whom she dated from 2015 until 2016.

At the Grammys on Sunday night, the pair were reunited. Kind of. The hitmaker was seated near her ex at the ceremony, leaving fans aghast, with the successful singer even forced to walk past him.

Sharing the snap of Taylor walking behind Calvin at the glitzy event, one fan wrote on X: "Taylor being near him while 'I just killed my ex' plays."

Fans were quick to react, with one replying with: "He’s married, she’s thriving, why they gotta be painted as enemies still? I think both have moved on." Another then joked: "Idk I think she forgot he existed," while someone else echoed: "I think she forgot he existed," which was a nod to Taylor's opening track from her 2019 album Lover.

Paris Jackson walks red carpet with no tattoos

Last night, 25-year-old second-born child and only daughter of the King of Pop Michael Jackson, and former wife Debbie Rowe, Paris Jackson, looked sensational when she attended the Grammys. But the singer's appearance was quite different from usual due to her having covered up her 80+ tattoos.

Revealing the transformation on Instagram, Paris wrote a caption which read "#CoverFX meant business when they said Total Cover Cream Foundation would have me covered. Alongside the caption, Paris shared a timelapse of the cover-up in progress.
