Taylor Swift has been accused of snubbing Celine Dion at the 2024 Grammy Awards as she was presented with the gong for Album of the Year.

Celine, 55, made a rare appearance at the glitzy award show amid her struggles with stiff person syndrome. She received a standing ovation as she took to the stage to present Taylor with her award.

In her speech, Celine encouraged the crowd to remember "the joy that music brings to our lives and to people all around the world." She also paid tribute to Diana Ross and Sting, who presented her with the Album of the Year award 27 years ago. While fans were delighted to see Celine, many slammed Taylor for failing to acknowledge the music icon as she accepted the award.

The Cruel Summer hitmaker made history as she became the first artist to win the Grammy Award for Best Album for a fourth time. Fans noticed Taylor didn't make eye contact with Celine as she accepted the award, instead looking back to celebrate with her team.

"Taylor Swift completely ignoring Celine Dior like she was some trophy model presenter was #GRAMMYS was wild. She's won this three times and usually such a pro. But to ignore an icon, who is dealing with so much? Yikes," one upset fan wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Another said: "Taylor not acknowledging Celine and then SNATCHING the Grammy from her… JAIL," while a third fan added: "You know I love my girl Taylor but the disrespect for Celine....."

A fourth fan posted: "Taylor dragged Lana (who just lost the award) on stage when she CLEARLY didn’t want to go, and then didn’t say a WORD to Celine f***ing Dion when she took the award? I hope the next album flops."

However, other fans jumped to Taylor's defence, pointing out how the singer gave Celine a standing ovation and also posed for a sweet picture with the musician backstage. "I think it's kinda crazy that despite going out of her way to clap and stand up for everyone, including Celine and everyone she lost to, Taylor has to be scolded for not doing the exact right thing in an overwhelming moment," one annoyed fan wrote.

Another said: "“whatever you say it is not right whatever you do it is not good enough” i saw so many of taylor’s own fans criticizing her for not (checks notes) hugging celine dion on stage? she CLEARLY was caught up in the moment of winning an award she did not expect to win. pls relax."

A third fan added: "Are you all ignoring that fact that she gave Celine a standing ovation when she came on stage and was singing/dancing to her song? Are you also ignoring the fact that Celine is in bad health and Taylor didn’t know if she was allowed to hug her? Are you also ignoring that they hugged backstage probably after Taylor asked if it was okay? Gimme a break. You’re all looking for any way possible to discredit her. It’s old and boring."
