There's speculation over the line-up for the upcoming return of Celebrity Big Brother on ITV

Celebrity Big Brother producers are reportedly "in talks" with Sarah Jayne Dunn for the show's upcoming return.

The actor, 42, is known for having played Mandy Richardson on Hollyoaks for more than two decades. She'd joined the Channel 4 soap opera in 1996 and was reportedly let go from the show in 2021 after launching an OnlyFans page. Sarah doesn't regret her decision to swap Hollyoaks for Only Fans and is set to appear in a documentary about the adults-only site later this year.

The content creator is also said to be "on the list of hopefuls" that producers want for the "big relaunch" of Celebrity Big Brother in the coming weeks. The reality TV show will return at its new home ITV next month, after having previously been broadcast by Channel 5 and prior to that Channel 4.

The Sun reports that producers "are in talks" with Sarah - whose other credits include Casualty and Doctors - over a potential stint in the Big Brother house. A source teased to the outlet that she would "have a lot to offer the show". Teasing about the prospect of the British Soap Award winner's involvement, they said: "Sarah would be an amazing signing for the show. She's one of soap's most recognisable faces and a big personality that fans would really warm to." And the source further commented about the possibility: "No-one's put pen to paper yet but the feeling is that she would have a lot to offer the show and could spill all on her time on Hollyoaks and decision to work on OnlyFans."

The reality TV show is set to launch next month following Big Brother's return last year. "Celebrity Big Brother will see a new cast of famous faces isolated from the outside world as they embark on the ultimate social experiment, taking up residence in the iconic Big Brother house," ITV has teased.

There's been speculation about the line-up for weeks. It's previously been reported that Amir Khan's wife Faryal Makhdoom and Dragons' Den star Levi Roots will be housemates. Other rumoured names include former rugby player James Haskell and Kate Middleton's uncle Gary Goldsmith.

The line-up however has yet to be announced by ITV ahead of the launch, with it likely to be unveiled in the coming weeks. Approached for comment on this story, a spokesperson for the show told us: "Any names for Celebrity Big Brother are purely speculation."
