Celebrities will soon be descending on Los Angeles to attend the 2024 Grammy Awards, with it expected to be a great night for Taylor Swift and Billie Eilish.

This year's nominations saw SZA lead the nods for a solo artist with nine nominations, while the Barbie movie soundtrack has 11. PR expert Kieran Elsby believes some big names will take home "multiple awards", but said there could be some big surprises on the night.

Speaking exclusively to The Mirror, he said: "I would not be surprised that the usual superstars walk away with a handful. We must remember that those who are in constant media spotlight gain much recognition.

"Such as Taylor Swift, and Billie Eilish who consistently deliver exceptional work and are always in the headlines. They will probably scoop multiple awards each, making them strong contenders."

He added: "However, surprises are common at the Grammys, and breakthrough artists may also shine. It's the unpredictability that adds excitement to the awards ceremony."

Sharing some of his predictions, Kieran said: "I feel other artists that might do well for the Grammy Awards include Olivia Rodrigo, known for her chart-topping debut album 'SOUR,' and Silk Sonic (Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak) for their collaborative success with 'An Evening with Silk Sonic.'

"Rodrigo's impactful lyrics and Silk Sonic's nostalgic yet fresh sound have resonated with audiences, making them strong contenders. Their influence on music trends, coupled with critical acclaim, could contribute to potential wins at the Grammys."

The expert suggested Lizzo could also take home an award after becoming known for "her vibrant and empowering music. Kieran said "rising star" Doja Cat is a "strong candidate in various categories" thanks to her "versatility and chart success".

He also believes J. Cole could be acknowledged for his "impactful work" after becoming well-known for his "thought-provoking lyrics and artistic depth". The 66th annual Grammy Awards will be presented by 'Weird Al' Yankovic, Jimmy Jam, Jon Bon Jovi, Kim Petras, St. Vincent, and Muni Long on a live stream on the Recording Academy's YouTube channel.

Only music released from October 1, 2022 until September 15, 2023 are eligible. The awards show will air on February 4 at 8pm EST, or February 5 at 1am GMT live from Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
