Taylor Swift stars as Sandy in Grease in adorable throwback snaps as 10-year-old

Taylor Swift may well be a global superstar, but never-before-seen photos show she's always been ready for a big role in showbiz.

Throwback images of young Taylor, now 34, were shared by actor Tobin Mitnick, sending Swifties into overdrive as T became Sandra Dee. The snaps from when the songstress was 10 showed her looking just the part as she took centre stage in the hit musical production of Grease alongside Tobin as her Danny Zucko.

The well-received selection of blast from the past images on Instagram saw the pair beaming in the respective roles, with Tobin rocking a black leather jacket while posing in true John Travolta fashion. Taylor stood in the image with her back leaning against her fellow lead star as she wore an all-white costume.

Another shot had Taylor going fully into character as she sported a long curly blonde wig as she appeared to be belting out the numerous hits from the show. Tobin was once again alongside his co-star as the both looked great in all-black attire.

After thanking his mum in the caption his amazing upload, Tobin joked that snaps showed Taylor and himself harmonising "like buttah" and explained they were taken in 2000. The comments went crazy on the post, with one followers joking: "My 2024 bingo card did not have this on it."

Another admitted, saying it was an "insane crossover," while a third added: "This was not the mashup I was expecting today."

The images even brought back vivid memories for a user who said their dad was the stage manager on the show. The user gushed: "Omg how freaking funny to come across this. My dad was the stage manager and I vividly remember riding around in grease lightening on Taylor’s lap as a kid in the parking lot of the school!!!!!"

Following the huge attention on the post, Tobin then joked: "I’m sorry why did this not get this kind of attention in like March when I told you all about it in a shameless attempt to goose my book sales."

While Taylor continues to support her boyfriend Travis Kelce as he attempts to win the Super Bowl, she's also been linked with helping on the upcoming presidential campaign for Joe Biden. The current president's team is reportedly drafting up a "Taylor Swift strategy" in a bid to drum up the support of the star's immensely loyal fan base.
