The legendary television host was bestowed with the honour by Princess Anne at Buckingham Palace for services to broadcasting. Having been part of the entertainment industry since 1992, the star has fronted some of the biggest shows in the industry and even tried her hand in the music business.
In view of her 1.7 million followers on Instagram, the former Big Brother presenter shared a snap taken just hours after being given her medal. The starlet beamed from ear to ear as she flashed a smile while gazing at the camera as she stood next to a friend.
Holding her MBE medal in its protective casing, she couldn't have looked any prouder. Alongside her upload, Davina penned: "This looks like I'm harassing a diner at the restaurant but I was harassing my besties hubby, nothing new there… been doing it for decades. I can't think of a better way to celebrate than with them @mdlondon and our families… but Tilly and Bache you were really really missed… really really.
"But with us in spirit. What a day x thank you for all your messages. Congrats to all the other wonderful recipients we met today and all the wonderful people at Buckingham Palace who made it so special also @broadwicksoho for fantastic food and my flowers wow x going to sleep with a massive smile on my face."

Although Davina admits she was "terrified" before receiving the honour, she's glad it was from The Princess Royal and praised her for her "gung-ho" attitude. When Her Royal Highness asked Davina how she found herself in broadcasting, she explained she "wasn't good enough" to be a singer.
"The Masked Singer is perfect for you!" the royal responded. Davina said: "I was absolutely terrified. People were saying 'You've got to go and talk to the cameras after this', I said 'That's the easy bit for me'. I was really nervous but she made it easy. I went through so many emotions arriving, it’s the waiting that's so nice and you get to talk to other people that are getting awards as well."
