Billie Piper 'humiliated' by Laurence Fox cheating claims during their marriage
Billie Piper was left seething after she found out Laurence Fox, asked out another woman while they were still married.
The English actress married the controversial broadcaster in West Sussex in 2007, after the pair met while both working on the stage play, Treats, the previous year. Billie, 41, and Laurence, 45, went on to welcome two sons, Winston and Eugene, before divorcing in 2016. The split involved a lengthy custody battle, which took over two years to arrange.
Fox has since lost his High Court libel case after he was sued by former Stonewall trustee Simon Blake and drag artist Crystal over a row on Twitter, now known as X, in October 2020. He called Mr Blake and the former RuPaul’s Drag Race contestant, whose real name is Colin Seymour, “paedophiles” in an exchange about a decision by Sainsbury’s to celebrate Black History Month.
His ex Billie, 41, was reportedly left furious after reading an interview with Laurence's former co-star last year, who claimed that the ex-GB News star asked her out on multiple occasions. Honeysuckle Weeks met Fox while they were both starring on the British crime drama, Lewis, in 2015.
Speaking to the Telegraph, the 44-year-old recalled that the Reclaim Party founder invited her to go on three different dates with him. She also admitted that she had accepted all of his offers, but that he had ultimately stood her up every time. "Laurence asked me out three times. On each occasion, he stood me up. Although the real question is why did I keep agreeing?" she said. "Mind you he was still married to Billie at the time."
BBC interview drama cast announced- Prince Andrew actor to Gillian AndersonThe revelation was reportedly poorly received by Billie, who has stayed notably quiet on her split from Fox over the years. “Billie was obviously stunned to read the interview and discover her husband, with whom she was very much together at the time, was wooing other women," a source told the Sun.
“She feels humiliated and betrayed. God knows who else he tried to date when they were together. Safe to say, she is extremely happy she and Laurence aren’t together today." Laurence hit headlines last year after unleashing a vicious tirade against political journalist Ava Evans on GB News.
Speaking on Dan Wootton's nightly chat show, the Yorkshire native made a number of derogatory remarks in reference to the 33-year-old after condemning her for comments she'd previously made about male suicide. He was suspended from GB News after Ofcom confirmed it had received 'a number' of complaints about his statements, which included the line: "Show me a single self-respecting man that would like to climb into bed with that woman ever."
GB News also confirmed it had terminated the contracts of both Laurence and Dan Wootton following an investigation. Billie, best known for starring in Doctor Who and I Hate Suzie, has been in a relationship with Tribes frontman Johnny Lloyd since 2016. The couple welcomed a daughter, Tallulah, in 2019.
