Lorraine Kelly has revealed the hardest part of The Masked Singer as she returned to her show following the unmasking.

The TV presenter appeared on her ITV breakfast show today for the first time since she was unmasked as Owl on the ITV guessing game show. The judges - and host Joel Dommett - were stunned to see Lorraine behind the mask.

Speaking on the show today, she said: "We had such fun! I was quite nervous. The worst thing was trying to remember the words. Remembering the words was so hard. When you put the head on, you can't see anything. My eyes were under the beak, but you can't see a thing. They said look for a green light because that means you're facing the right way!

"I could hear the thumping of their feet - but I couldn't see anything." Joel Dommett also revealed he was impressed with how Lorraine managed to keep her identity on the show a secret whilst interviewing Bubble Tea star Julia Sawalha.

Lorraine previously admitted it was "nice" that people had been guessing younger people.

Speaking after her exit, Lorraine revealed: "I need to phone up Frankie Bridge and apologise, and Kym Marsh, and Alex Scott, all these wee lassies. That was nice, that they were guessing people that were an awful lot younger. I wanted to do something outside my comfort zone that would be a challenge, but also really, really good fun."

She admitted she found it terrifying, and when asked to remember a time where she was worried, she said: "You’d probably have to go back 40 years to my very first presenting job when my stomach was a washing machine and all I could hear in my ears was my heart beating. It was like that. Singing is joyful. The world is quite dark right now, so it’s actually quite nice to do something fun."

Lorraine described her time on the ITV show as "liberating". She said of the staff behind the scenes on the show: "They are amazing and so kind, and they tell me things like, 'Just go for it,' really trying to boost your confidence."

Lorraine also took to Instagram after the big reveal, where she shared: "Hi there, yes, it was me, I was Owl on The Masked Singer, congratulations if you guessed it. One of the clues, of course, was about Dundee United. I'm right here at Tannadice Park, a lot of you got the clue about the tangerines. So well done if you did! Did you guess it was me behind the mask?? Such fun doing @maskedsingeritv - thanks so much to all the amazing team who made it the BEST experience ever - what an amazing opportunity to sing LIVE in front of an audience on THE best entertainment show #joy #happy #owl #maskedsinger #singing #fun."
