Love Island star looking for suitable step dad to her four-year-old son
Back at home in Liverpool, Hannah Elizabeth’s four-year-old son Reggie is watching his mum crack on in the Love Island villa.
Hannah’s mum Colette and dad Joey are babysitting and they will only let Reggie watch clips of his mum looking for love – as he’s not allowed to stay up past his bedtime to watch her live.
Colette says: “At first he was a bit shocked that his mummy was on the telly. It’s a bit different to seeing Peppa Pig on the telly, and all of a sudden his mum’s on there, you know? “He said to me, ‘Oh, Nanny, has my mummy got lots of new friends?’ And I said, ‘Yeah, lots of new friends’.”
Reggie enjoyed seeing his mum enjoy a punk-themed party, but Colette says that she will “probably not” show him any clips of Hannah snogging. Hannah starred in the first series of Love Island back in 2015, when she and boyfriend Jon Clarke got engaged in the villa. It shocked the viewers, and her parents, who gave Jon their permission to wed Hannah during a phone call.

Reggie has been watching along from home (Hannah Elizabeth)The couple ended their engagement three months later, and Colette has warned: “Don’t do anything without a real ring, with a real diamond in it.” Reggie’s nursery school teachers are cheering Hannah on, and Colette says the school gates are busy with Hannah’s biggest supporters.

She says: “Some of them have set up Instagram accounts just to follow her. One said to me, ‘Just to let you know, I’ve just set up the Love Island app on my phone’.”
However, the family braced themselves for trolls criticising former Playboy bunny Hannah for going to the villa. While Hannah is “not bothered in the slightest” by the online criticism, it can take its toll on her mother.
Colette says: “It can bother me. I’m just trying to switch myself off a bit. Obviously, as a mum, you know, it’s only normal, isn’t it? I’ve just got to do what Hannah tells me and ignore it.”
Hannah is now looking for a man who will be a suitable step-dad to Reggie. Colette says: “It needs to be someone who accepts Reggie. Having a son... that’s an unbelievable amount of love. But to have somebody else there would be amazing.”
