Ever wondered who the clumsiest player in the Premier League is?

Every week, there are always one or two players (at the very least) who make a mistake in English football's top flight. Whether that's a misplaced pass, own goal or goalkeeping howler, something is guaranteed to happen. Football isn't faultless!

Yet it's very hard to judge who the clumsiest Premier League star is. Thankfully, the football experts at Ticketgum have crunched the numbers. Each player has been given a clumsy score using several metrics, including failed attempts to gain control of the ball, loss of the ball following a tackle, passes missed, being tackled during take-ons and minutes played.

And, according to their research, the clumsiest player in the Premier League is... Luton's Alfie Doughty. They've given him a clumsy score of 100 out of 100, which seems a very harsh in our opinion. The 24-year-old has been an important player for Luton this season, scoring once and picking up two assists in their last three Premier League games.

Luton were tipped to finish bottom of the table at the start of the season but are enjoying themselves in the Premier League. Although the Hatters are in the relegation zone, they are just a point from safety and have a game in hand on the teams around them.

But it's claimed they are clumsiest team in the Premier League. Doughty's team-mates Carlton Morris (clumsy score of 98.18), Jacob Brown (94.12) and Elijah Adebayo (90.85) have also been included in Ticketgum's top 10 list. Luton boss Rob Edwards won't care one bit about those stats, though, if his team stays up.

There are some other interesting names in the top 10. Dominic Calvert-Lewin is judged to be the second clumsiest player in England's top flight (98.30), while his Everton team-mates Jack Harrison (92.42) and Beto (90.65) have also made the list.

Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke is enjoying a superb campaign, scoring 12 Premier League goals to put himself in the England frame. Only Erling Haaland of Manchester City and Mohamed Salah of Liverpool (14 goals each) have managed more this season.

Yet Solanke is clumsy, apparently. He's said to have made 74 failed attempts to get control of the ball to be ranked as the fourth clumsiest player in the Premier League (97.76). The final two players to make up the top 10 are Crystal Palace striker Jean-Philippe Mateta (91.39) and Nottingham Forest midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White (91.31).

But who is the least clumsiest player in the Premier League? Well, according to the research, that honour belongs to Chelsea defender Thiago Silva. He's been given a perfect score of ZERO! Manchester City pair Ruben Dias (0.95) and Rodri (4.50) also score very well... and so do Brighton duo Jan Paul van Hecke (1.98) and Lewis Dunk (3.10).

But do these stats really matter? We'll let you be the judge of that, so please let us know in the comments below!
