Baywatch star 'regrets' surgery at 18 after detailing cancer diagnosis
Baywatch star Nicole Eggert has said she regrets getting breast implants after a devastating diagnosis.
Nicole, 51, was diagnosed with breast cancer and now is saying she regrets getting breast implants at the age of 18. Before getting diagnosed, Nicole believe she was going through menopause. She gained 25lbs in three months and had "terrible pain" in her left breast back in October. After seeking medical advice, she was diagnosed with stage 2 cribriform carcinoma in December 2023.
Nicole starred in the hit show Baywatch from 1992 to 1994 and played Summer Quinn. The show required for Nicole to wear bathing suits all day and she was not physically or mentally prepared to film like that all the time. While on a break from filming, she decided to get breast implants at age 18.

Talking to PEOPLE, she shared that did not realize what she signed up for when appearing on the show. She said: "It was a stupid 18 year old decision." She continued: "I look at all these younger girls doing it and think, ‘God, leave your bodies alone!’ But when you have to put on that one-piece and it's like you're so flat that it's like pleating — you got pleats across the front...” she continues. “You're like, ‘What is this?’ Nothing you can do. You can't stuff it with anything. You can't do anything."
Mum with terminal cancer wants to see son 'write his first word' before she diesSince the show ended, Nicole has had multiple breast augmentation surgeries, which one was documented on the E! reality show, botched. She went on the show to have her breast size reduced in 2015. Now, she is a single mother of two and focusing on her cancer diagnosis. She told PEOPLE: "I think that experience definitely hindered me a bit and my mental health and my self-awareness and how I felt about myself" She continued: "I think it was damaging and made me very insecure and just not comfortable in my own skin."
Nicole had a mammogram and underwent three biopsies to diagnose her cancer but it is not known if it metastasised and spread to other areas of her body. She will undergo surgery and then go through chemotherapy and radiotherapy as decided by her oncologist.
