Finding the perfect lipstick can be hard. I normally gravitate towards lip balms as I love the texture but Charlotte Tilbury's Pillow Talk has been my go to for long enough that when I heard a new range was dropping I knew I had to get my hands on it.

I got all ten shades from the new Hollywood Beauty Icon collection - 5 reds and pinks - although there's one that is without a doubt my favourite. I swatched them all on my arm and I will say the matte shades really don't budge.

After washing my arm with soap twice and then doing a full and sweaty workout in the gym I could still see the swatches (even if they'd faded slightly). This is particularly useful if you're planning to wear this on a date night.

I love the K.I.S.S.I.N.G formula , it has a soft satin shine finish but it feels like lip balm as you put it on. This is something I really like in a lipstick as some of my Mac options have left my lips feeling borderline chapped after use.

So I was quite surprised that my favourite lipstick from the range was actually a matte red. There are a few different lipsticks in the range but for me Pizzazz stole the show. I shouldn't be too surprised as I've often been drawn to blue toned red lipsticks as I find they complement my skin tone well.

I paired it with the new Lip Cheat in shade Mark Of A Kiss which is a soft muted shade of red that I found really quite wearable. I've worn Pillow Talk for years so I knew Charlotte Tilbury was great at nude lipsticks but I'm thrilled to see it doesn't stop there.

The formula of these lipsticks are so smooth on and they really do last - but when you take them off it doesn't leave your lips dry at all. I tried nine lipsticks back to back without applying lip balm in between and I found with a little micellar water my lips wear clean (although they did look a little redder than they had this morning).

The reds come in a shiny red tube which I thought was a nice touch, you can see at a glance whether you're grabbing a red, pink or nude as the tubes correspond with the colour inside. It's great for anyone who has a large lipstick collection.

At £27 they're not the cheapest lipsticks on the market but I do think they are a quality product. Majority of the time if I'm wearing a lipstick it is a Charlotte Tilbury one, I find they're much kinder to skin than other ones I've tried and I've never had a bleeding issue with them.

You can get Pizzazz for £27 from Charlotte Tilbury and check out the full range of new shades here.
