Eerie photos show ‘ghost’ lingering at scene of fatal crash

A chilling photograph captured at the scene of a fatal crash has captured what some think may be a ghostly figure lurking feet away from police.

The eerie image was taken in Mexico City after a man was killed in the crash which also left another young man, aged 23, fighting for his life. According to authorities in capital, the car smashed into a utility pole in the early hours of Wednesday.

Paramedics rushed to the scene finding the vehicle's two occupants. One man, aged 24, was pronounced dead from head trauma sustained in the smash, while the other man was taken to hospital also with head injuries.

But now locals are convinced that a photo taken at the scene shows a ghost lingering in the aftermath. A cloaked figure appears to be standing in the background, lurking behind a telephone pole.

The creepy figure has been likened to the killer in the Scream movie franchise with its head-to-toe black robe and gaping mouth. The image isn't the first time something spooky has been captured on camera on the roads.

In March last year, a trucker went viral after capturing what many think is a spectral figure crossing the road on his dashcam. William Church was driving home in the early hours on March 11 when he spotted a strange white shadow at the side of the road in Arizona.

Sharing the creepy footage online, Mr Church's clip left viewers divided on whether he caught something paranormal - or whether it's simply a trick of light from his vehicle. He told Fox News the figure was "just standing in the roadway as I passed by looks like you can see the lines through the legs making the figure.

The brief clip was captured on a Nexar dashcam, which records drives for security reasons. One ghost hunter said of the discovery: “This stretch of roadway both north to Payson and south to Tucson is incredibly creepy, especially at night.

“One of the cases we worked documented in our book was from the route going south to Tucson where he claimed to have picked up a hitchhiker whose name matched someone who went missing back in the 70s.”
