Holly Willoughby shares cryptic 'fear and rejection' post following ITV comeback

Holly Willoughby has shared a cryptic caption surrounding "fear and rejection" a week-and-a-half on from her triumphant return to TV screens.

The 42-year old famously stood down from her role as This Morning co-presenter in October. Question marks remained over her future on Dancing On Ice until December 27, meanwhile, when ITV announced she would be returning to front the show with Stephen Mulhern.

After revealing she felt "nervous but excited" about the series opener on January 14, Holly's comeback ran smoothly as her on-screen relationship with her former Ministry of Mayhem co-star showed promising signs. Holly previously presented the ice-skating contest with former best pal Phillip Schofield, but she was left stunned when he departed the broadcaster altogether in May after admitting to an "unwise, but not illegal" affair with a younger male This Morning colleague.

On Thursday, Holly took to her Wylde Moon brand's Instagram account to post an astrological message about the importance of "loving yourself" - coinciding with the first full moon of 2024. "What the Full Wolf Moon in fierce Leo tells us is not to let fear or rejection rule decisions," the Instagram post read.

"She encourages you to remember who you truly are to love yourself and to channel that love back out into the world, for now is the time to be unapologetically you. Embrace. Supercharge. Radiate." And Holly reiterated the message, as she captioned it: "It's time to welcome the first Full Moon of the year. When the Wolf Moon meets Leo's vibrant energy, it brings a surge of passion and self-expression."

It follows a similar post last week in which Holly spoke of "blossoming in dark times". Over a snap of two moonflowers in full bloom, a message read: "These fragrant, white flowers have evolved over millions of years to open only at night and their ethereal, nocturnal beauty is a powerful symbol of how resilience, strength and growth can flourish during the darkest and most challenging moments. Even in the dark… she grows… Nature is beautiful."

Holly established the Wylde Moon in 2021, describing it as an "ever-evolving journey of self-discovery" offering guidance on a number of her personal interests including health and beauty, astrology and books. Explaining the thinking behind Wylde Moon last year, she said: "I’ve always been fascinated with the moon, space, shooting stars and looking up. On holiday, I spend more time on the sun lounger at night than during the day. The moon is always there – like the sun– no matter where you are in the world. I’d lost a part of who I was and that rediscovery has led me here, to a whole new place of beauty and power."

Dancing On Ice airs Sundays at 6:30pm on ITV1 and ITV X.
